My X-Men Legends (XML) Review

X-Men Legends
Published by:
Activision
Developed by: Raven Software
Genre: Third-Person Action RPG
Number of Players: 1-4
US Release Date: September 21, 2004
Features:
Dolby Pro Logic II, Dual Shock, Memory Card, Stereo Surround, Vibration

First of all, its cover, I would say, doesn't look very attractive.. especially on those unfamiliar with the X-Men...

The game starts off with a News Broadcast by the RVN World News... with updates on the mutant-related events around the world... which included one live breaking-news on a very recent discovery of yet another mutant, a young girl name, Alice Crestmere.
Forcebly, she was being taken away by the GRSO Soldiers, while all around were a crowd of humans rioting against her.
Just as things were looking its worse, suddenly one of the soldier turned out to be a disguised Mystique of the Brotherhood of Mutants!!
With help from Blob, they got Alice, though Wolverine was at the scene to try and prevent them from getting her.
With Alice's still uncontrollable fiery mutant powers, she undeliberately caused a large explosion that blew nearly everyone away and left herself unconscious...
With Alice in the hands of Mystique's and literally, Blob's, Wolverine sets out to get her into safer hands, namely the X-Men's...
What plans have the Brotherhood of Mutants for the fiery, lava-generating powers of Alice Crestmere?
And why are the mutant-killing machines, the Sentinels, back in production?
The story unfolds many smaller stories to combine into one big climax where you have to fight against Magneto, leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants and a particularly money & military-powered mutant-hater, General Kincaid.
I have to say, the story is quite acceptably & satisfyingly good... and you can get to know better of many of your favorite X-Men characters and others!

The character menu

OK.. let me comment on its graphics and animations first of all...
The graphics and animations during gameplay isnt' that great, but neither is it bad... just right to look at as you play...
However, the animation of the characters I have to say are very stiff and just plain not right in my view...
Can you imagine Wolverine talking his rough and 'I just wanna slice something' talk while his body moves with the only part of his arms that move are the rest after the elbow.. like some penguin tilting form one side to the other while it walks?
definitely not something that I would believe is suitable for Wolverine...
On the topic of graphics and animations, let me get to the cinematic scenes...
I like the cinematic scenes... but the visual of the graphic isn't as nice, especially with some of facial look of the characters... though it is enjoyable to see Prof. Xavier in those cinematic scene, with his muscular build and cool glowing eyes, plus his so right voice!!

Speaking of which, the voices.. I believe all of the characters scored a different voice actor/actress from the animated series... maybe I'm partially wrong...
but it's still cool to listen to the voices from the SO MANY characters! Some of which I've never heard or seen before... but most of which I've came across before.. with the some of the popular characters that everyone familiar with the X-Men should know.. Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Beast, Rogue, Storm, Iceman, Nightcrawler, Prof. X, Magneto, Toad, Mystique and more!

Next, the gameplay..
to be honest, I had A LOT of fun!
The fighting is really fun. Trying to do the button combos to make powerful melee attacks, seeing the special effects of each charater's mutant powers and even combining two different powers to create an effective combo for extra damage and experience gained, etc...
Pummeling the hordes of enemies is loads of fun and different type of enemies poses different type of challenges for players to beat them to a pulp...
What adds to the fun of fighting is that you get to choose FOUR from out of 14 available X-Men characters, including a special character for a short mission, namely Professoer X himself!!
Some of the characters' mutant powers can alter the environment to suit a specific need, like a need for a bridge, which can be made with Iceman's ice-generating power or even with Jean Grey's telekinetic power!!

Iceman creates a icy bridge over a valley

Besides that, whenever you are done with a mission, usually you are placed in the X-Mansion, the home-base of the X-Men, where you get into the point of view of the new member of the family, Alice Crestmere herself...
Here, you get to look at many small bonuses, such as sketches, comic book archves, portfolios of some of the X-Men and the villains, etc, including the Danger Room, where you can train both your characters and yourself during and within the game!
At the same time, you can interact with some of the X-Men themselves and even unlock a few flashbacks where you can to get some of the X-Men history...

There is no option of difficulty and I believe the default difficulty can be quite challenging for those unable to comprehend the gameplay....
I myself have some moments in the game where I lost my temper and started shouting 'unhappy' words...
And oh yeah.. what adds to the difficulty is the pathetic AI for your allies.. as you can use up to FOUR characters during missions, you'll be controlling one character while the other three are played by the game's AI...
unfortunately, they're not very smart or as flexible as players would like...

Whoa! That took me quite a while to finish!
Anyway, in conclusion, I'd give this game a FOUR out of five... cause it's still enjoyable to play, though it's unfortunate that you couldn't continue playing your characters after so long and hard to level them up...
Do get this game, if you're a fan of the X-Men genre.. and if you're not but into such action rpg, do give this game a try.

Oh yeah.. another thing I wanted to add about the funness of this game..
The destruction of nearly everything in the environment.. Hahah!
With such powers, it's a wonder why you wouldn't be able to destroy things around you! haha!
just so enjoy just destroying the walls, the chairs, the barrels, and plenty more! Even a large military tank is in the list!!

TOGETHER, YOU ARE LEGENDS."

What Kind of Intelligence Do YOU Have?

I guess there's a level of truthness in this one...
Judge for yourself, if you know me well enough...

Your Dominant Intelligence is Linguistic Intelligence

You are excellent with words and language. You explain yourself well. An elegant speaker, you can converse well with anyone on the fly. You are also good at remembering information and convincing someone of your point of view. A master of creative phrasing and unique words, you enjoy expanding your vocabulary.
You would make a fantastic poet, journalist, writer, teacher, lawyer, politician, or translator.

Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?

Serving Fun? For the first time!

For the first time ever, during work, it felt so fun! hahaha!
Yesterday, got waiter work at Grand Palace Hotel... morning and night...

Morning, was the usual busy-busy work... serving here and there...
worked from 9am till 2.30pm!! so tiring...
when reached home... had only one and a half hours of rest before going back to the hotel...
got to convince Roger to just come on over to my place for the time being...
while he rested his feet, I rested my feet and played X-Men Legends...
we both showered and then we left for the hotel... together with my bro who's also working there if you guys recalled me saying that in an earlier blog entry....

19 tables all set during the afternoon...
Besides Roger, my bro and I, there was otehrs as well, including Guan Thai & Man Ni...
work that night was tiring on the count that our feet only had about two hours of rest...
but it was all right... as the night progressed.. I realised that I'd just self-assigned myself to take care of the drinks.. hahah!
which saved me quite a lot of tiring work... hahah!
but that was only in the first hour or so of the function... soon enough, I returned to some of the usual work...
Worked til 10.30pm and then headed back home...

Now with a (not too strict) curfew by my mother.. I can't stay up too late into the night... so couldn't get online to do my blog, hahah!
well... that's all..
today.. just spent my whole day at home...
played X-Men till the end of the game.. to my despair.. = (
after all those leveling up of the characters and now I don't get to continue using them again... sigh... so sad....
I think I'll do a little review for this game.. in case you guys are considering buying this game...
check it in the next blog entry...
that's all!

Tips on GOOD Presentation Performance

Yeah, I mentioned before in an earlier blog entry that Abel gave me some good tips on giving a good presentation...
I guess I'll share them with you, since it should be spread around...
Presentations are VERY IMPORTANT during your years in university ever since secondary school and even after that!

Tip #1 - Planning
When planning a presentation, try to pick a topic that you are interested in... or know well about..
That way, it'll be easy for you to do the presentation..
this also contributes to your confidence when presenting...

Tip #2 - Attention Grabbing
The first two minutes into your presentation is quite vital... important... as it can determine if the audience is going to be interested throughout your presentation...
so it's best to be able to capture their attention from the start.. obviously...
an easy way to do that is usually to start off with a story or something... then go on to your topic or introduction... cause usually, stories can capture attention easily...
and another way of capturing attention or interest from the audience, is to interact with them... let them feel, like part of the presentation.. i.e. let them speak a little to you... like how it is in Q & A sessions...

Tip #3 - Focus, Focus, Focus
Doing a presentation, be specific of your topic... don't go generally...
If you are given to do a presentation on one ethnic group of Malaysia (for example), go on to talk about it.... but then you state obviously that you'll be focusing mostly on this topic... and not add in others, like the government is disrupting the ethnic group's living, etc.... unless your topic IS on that...
If in groups, one person should present on one particular topic... like, one on marriages only, another in beliefs, and so on... best not too much different topics for one person...

Tip #4 - Group Presentation Style
When presenting in groups, the one that is speaking/presenting stand forward from the rest, while the rest sit down, instead of standing around...
cause standing around.. they'll be distracting.. fidgeting around here and there...
the one speaking should have his/her head higher than the rest of the group..
After this person's turn is transfered to the other, then, he or she can sit down, while the next person stands up.

Tip #5 - Crowd Control
You need to control the crowd as well if you wanna be sure that they're paying attention to you... or, make sure that they pay EXTRA attention to you...
move around... for example.. there are three sections of the audience, left, middle and right...
ok, maybe first, you pay attention during your presenting to the right section...
then a little while later... the left section.. then proceed to pay attention to the middle section..
this is audience controling... so that the audience don't feel neglected by you, since one usually do his/her presentation to whoever is in front of him/her.. usually where the 'VIPs' are found.....

Tip #6 - The Presenter
As in you yourself...
Your voice will need to be loud and clear... loud but not shout....
This will need a little practising, so that you know how to project your voice to the crowd.
Actions can help to emphasize what you are saying...
And the most important, obviously, is your confidence...
one MUST be brave when doing presentation...
DON'T be afraid that the audience is going to laugh at you... cause really, they're laughing WITH you...
laughter means they like you... not that they look down on you...
if you feel you're losing confidence.. calm yourself down... tryto make a joke... have a little laugh with the audience... that should help..

and one more thing... NEVER READ... if you have notes to tell you what to talk about next...
DON'T read them!! Skim through those notes and then elaborate on the spot....
if you're reading, you're paying more attention to your notes than your audience...

And another thing... best to prepare a little of what you're going to present...
practise a little 'script' with yourself before your presentation... that way, you'll have an idea of what to say when you're up..

Tip #7 - Transfering
Usually, my friends transfer their turns to the next with a line such as this..
"And now I'm going pass the time to my friend...."
Abel said not to do that, cause this will lose the momentum of the presentation... as in, the audience don't see the connection between what you've said and what your friend is going to say...
he say, when transfering turns to the next, you must make a connection to your friend...
he told me of a line such as this..
"That is all for my topic, but that is not all. Next, my friend is going to tell you about blah blah blah..."
something like that..
another method of transfering he told me is of telling a story...
this story is not going to be on whatever topic you were talking about..
it'll be mostly on what the topic your friend is going to talk about...
"*story story story* That's what happen. Why? My friend is going to explain it to you."
something like that.... depends on your presentation...

Tip #8 - Presentation Slides
This is only if you have something to present, like slides through projector or something... that everyone will see....
Should ALWAYS put those notes as point form, and not in full sentences...
if you're reading them off the slides.. the audience will just pay more attention to your slides than what you're talking about...

Another thing.. those notes should not exceed four lines.. as in.. not be a paragraph...
those notes in your slides you present for everyone to see, should not appear like a paragraph, with so many words in the sentence that it takes up a few lines...
make them short and then elaborate them on your own...

Hmm.... I think that's all... these tips should help you to do better in your presentation...
do take them into mind and not forget them...
I'm telling you... presentations are important for you... no kidding...
Heed my words!!! ^_^

The Tiang Show Goes On!

Man.. it's been days since I updated... would've updated yesterday noon... but for some reason, couldn't get into the net on campus... sheesh....
anyway.. time to update a few days earlier...

Tuesday, 25th January, 2005....
Moral studies class in the morning...
woke up early and play some more X-Men Legends before leaving for Curtin...
the class was great.. after the one hour or so lecture... was discussion on news articles that Ms. Azlin had asked us to bring with us that involved a moral dilemma.
we got into many interesting topic discussions....
then afternoon... returned from campus and had lunch at home... adn played some MORE X-Men... just love the game so much.....
then at night, re-checked my presentation for Moral Studies next Tuesday...
just to make sure that it was al right... think I'll be doing a little more later afternoon...

Wednesday, 26th January, 2005...
Morning, Roger came over... had actually made plans to go for badminton that morning... but Kevin fell ill so we couldn't...
Roger was not going anywhere actually since the badminton was cancelled... but he was bored at home.. so I invited him to come over anyway...
We played X-Men Legends for the whole morning.. though.. Roger mostly just watched... spend time together only lah...
then, lunch at Sin Yakin Food Centre... then, before 12.30pm, he headed home while I headed for Curtin, group discussion for the next day's Malaysian studies group presentation....
My group members includes me (naturally), Jackson Lee (our senior), Eric, Yu Yen & Marilyn...
wasn't much to discuss about the presentation before we were done...
then spent time there before I headed home at 2.30pm... then just played some more X-Men...

Thursday, 27th January, 2005....
Group presentation today for Malaysian studies.... but first.. Moral studies class in the morning...
thankfully, Jackson messaged everyone to remind them to wear formal today... I completely forgotten about that part...
after Moral studies.. was time for the group presentation... though we still have a few hours before the class...
and guess what? with nothing to do, I thought to just catch up a little of my sleep... so tired... been lacking a lot of sleep recently....
anyway... we can forget about that for now... the group presentation...
everyone in the class came forward to present in groups.... my group went forward as the third one...
it seemed that every group had their own uniqueness....
Nadia's group had a short movie clip...
The group with Krishna, Hari, Wong Peng Hi, Liz & Amos (who was absent) had a nice short period of traditional dancing by Liz and even a little speaking of Melanau, done mostly by Liz, but the others too...
My group had a short quiz for everyone... a little bit of the Kenyah costumes... and we even invited a Kenyah girl to join us for our presentation... who did a little dance as well at the end of our presentation...
and there was one group that compromised of four foreign students of different origin...
their presentation was on their own hometown or tribe... which was interesting...
and so on.... these were the more obvious ones for me...

anyway.... hahah, today's class was the first one to have ever reached four hours.. haha....
and oh yeah, I forgot to mention earlier that Abel was there to watch us throughout our presentation...
and after the class, I, Hari, Krishna & Wong went to join him for a very light dinner at the cafeteria...
we then got to talk... and talk... and talk.... while eating by the way.... and talk some more... until we finally went off... which two hours or so later!
we talked about a lot of stuffs.... and we even got on the topic of presentation.... and Abel gave some good tips for us...
I'll share them with you in another entry.. wait for it...

Friday, 28th January, 2005...
Morning.. played more X-Men... and then got a call from David, the guy in charge at the Grand Palace Hotel restaurant...
there was a function that night and he was asking me and my brother (who also started to work there) to help... both of us agreed and that's all..
afternoon, was Malaysian Studies class.. the final lecture...
after that, immediately headed home and then me and my brother then left for work... at 5pm...
Nine tables for today.... and it wasn't so hard...
Worked there until 10.30pm...
and boy, legs tired... at home, after a shower, watching a little of television.. then went to sleep...

and so, today, early in the morning, I woke up to update my blog...
haha... that's all...
THE END...
...for now.

Which Tarot Card Are You?

Did another quiz... this was what I got from it...

The Sun Card
You are the Sun card. The light of the Sun reveals
all. The Sun is joyful and bright, without fear
or reservation. The childish nature of the Sun
allows you to play and feel free. Exploration
can truly take place in the light of day when
nothing is hidden. The Sun's rays fill you with
energy so that you may live life to its
fullest, milking pleasure out of each day. Such
joy and energy can bring wealth and physical
pleasure. To shine in the light of day is to
have confidence, to soak up its rays is to feel
the freedom of a child. Image from: Stevee

Which Tarot Card Are You?
brought to you by

--------------------------
But I believe I am close to this tarot card too...

You are the Justice card. Justice preserves the harmony of the world. Working with opposite forces, Justice does not seek to criticize or condemn but rather to accept. The idea behind the card justice is that opposite forces are complementary; you could not have good without evil or light without darkness. Justice's position is to make sure that if a thing is out of balance, the weight of its energy is realigned with its opposite force. This card is also a card of humour, for it is in pointing out contrary positions that humour is often found. The attitude that is found in the humourous person, being able to shift perspective and flow with an instinct, is important in the maintenance of good balance. You've Got Served Twice

Hehe... today's been quite all right... ^_^
but VERY tired.....

Morning, have work at the restaurant again....
purposely woke up at 6.30am and went straight to play some X-Men Legends... =P
played one hour and then showered and then went to work...
man... my feet are in pain.... haha.... working for 4 hours was tiring enough.. but today I worked an extra hour... until my full time which was from 9am until 2pm.. for the first time......
though Roger had already worked that long yesterday.. after I left for class at Curtin...
work for the day was over.. but then, the person-in-charged, David, called for me and Roger to help with the function happening tonight.... which meant coming back here to work at 5pm....
to earn more $$$, I agreed to it... and so did Roger...
on the plus side, the function only involved four tables.. way less than the one we had before, on Tuesday night...

so.. after the work..reached home at 2.30pm...
thought to do some of my assignments for the time... but then... after only half an hour of going online...
I thought I wouldn't be able to do much anyway..
so thought to use the time for X-Men instead... hahaha!
over an hour of playing... then showered and then left for the hotel again...

over an hour or so was spent waiting for the function to begin when the customers came.... YAY! Work-free salary! And free dinner to boot!
Hehehe! Though we were bored there.. it was comfortng to think that even that hour of boredom was counted into our salary... hahaha!
anyway.... by near 6.30pm, the customers started to arrive and we got into work....
besides the function... there were the other usual customers... who just came to have dinner here...
man... my feet still hadn't recovered from the earlier work... and soon enough, they were crying out.. haha...
it wasn't just my feet... suddenly, my right bicep was complaining as well... no idea how that happened... my neck was straining, as well as my lower back....
sigh.... try to imagine how uncomfortable it was.... standing there for over an hour and more with such physical conditions....

hahah.... anyway... got through the night and was off free by 10pm...
and oh yeah.. my mother had requested for me to register my brother to work there as well... and I got to talk with David about it...
since I planned not to go to work tomorrow (to do my assignments), David had to find a replacement...
after a few confirmed non-comers... he decided to call my brother....
he asked me to call him somewhere during work... (heheh, which allowed me to rest for a while...) and with a few convincing notes, my brother finally agreed to come for work tomorrow...
he had actually want to come to work together with me, so that it'll be easier for him since I can be his guide during work...
guess he's just gonna have to work things out on his own... though Roger will be there and most likely he'll be asking for his help....

anyway... that's all I need to talk about for today...
thanks for taking your time to read my blog.....

Pitch Black... then a light shone...

Well... life often seems to always have this 'down, then up' effects huh...?
This morning, I woke up.. slightly still with a bit of the emotions of yesterday...
but.. as time went on.. things got to look up..

Morning, I had work...
today is a public holiday after all... or at least.. it was supposed to be... but I have Malaysian Studies class as well this afternoon...
anyway.. back to my work..
today.. it seems that.. work was.... a lot... more..... fun....
haha.. yeah... it feels a lot more comfortable now at work...
I don't know.. it just felt better.....
besides that.. today's been one awkward day too...
first... there was one table... with one black guy... an Indian, maybe?
I was setting up the plate sets on this table.. he then gestured to me to look at him... I did... he smiled... and I smiled back.. and guess what he said?
"Ah! Finally smile!"
.........................................................
anyway.. this guy was a really friendly guy.... as I continue on with my work.. and sometimes.. as I work, he'd call me over.. then.. talked to me a little... while, of course, ordering what he wanted too at the same time...
he asked me a little about my work.. my schooling... blahblahblah... not veyr much talking....
however.. it really feel awkward for me to be talking to the customers like this..
not that I didn't like it.. but.. I'm just afraid that the other workers may think I'm not doing my work if I spend too much time talking with the customers like this....

beside this fellow... there was another table...
awkward.. cause I often noticed these people keep staring at me...
and I feel like as if they know me or something... or maybe they're looking at someone else instead of me...
continued my work for some while later... then finally they called me...
"What's your name?" the woman asked... "You know what? You look veyr much like my son!"
........ ok....
"You part timer?" yeah...
"What time do you finish work today?" til noon...
"You working tomorrow?" no....
"Oh! I wanted my son to come here and see his 'elder brother'! Hahah! Too bad!"
Can understand how awkward that must've felt?

and that's not all.. there was another table that called to me for something else.. besides ordering food or drink!
a young woman called me... there was another young woman with her... and she was laughing so.. timidly???
this woman that called me that blurted out straight-forwardly after failing to get that other woman to talk to me what she wanted to...
"She wants to take a photo of you."
I was like... *eyes popped out of sockets!*
She mentioned a little about some woman in another table... (which I believe was the woman from earlier)...
she then asked if I would allow them for a picture... I.... well.... with thousands of Japanese anime-styled sweatdrops all over me, agreed to it...
and she quickly snapped one close up picture of me with her friend's Samsung (i think...)....
This one was even more awkward than the one before...

anyway.... today's work wasn't too busy... wasn't that many customers near the end of my work.. which was by noon...
then left work quickly.. and went to fill up my car's diesel... luckily, there was plenty in the usual PETRONAS station and there wasn't any queue...
quickly, had everything done.. then headed to Boulevard...
I was supposed to fetch two classmates of mine, Yu Yen & Marilyn....
Marilyn had a road accident before and she isn't allowed to drive for some time...
Yu Yen had no car to drive so she too needed a ride...
they'd asked for my help yesterday.. and yeah.. agreed to help.. since it's along the way to Curtin...
after picking them up at Boulevard... then drove to Curtin...
and went through the Malaysian Studies Class...
really enjoy Mr. Arnold's class... he's so interesting to listen to.. really like him a lot..
makes me feel... comfortable and interested when doing the assignments given... well... at least, more than I would expect doing them....
class ended at 3.30pm.. but since we were just told that we'll have a group presentation next week... we needed to find our group members quickly...
cone that was done... headed off...

had to drop off Yu Yen & Marilyn at Boulevard and then I headed home...
hehehe... then I got onto the PS2 and played some X-Men Legends...
things are beginning to get interesting for me now....
haha! Really drawing away from Arc the Lad and to this game...
but whatever...
tomorrow, I have waitering work again at the hotel restaurant... and same for the Sunday....
well.. the more work.. the more pay I can get....

well.. anyway.. continuing with the 'down, then up' thing...
yesterday I was really bombed down.... and today had started off a little low....
however, slowly but surely, things looked up and up again as the day went on...
I don't know.. could just be the optimism in me brightening things up.. or that's just how my life goes...
the same thing happened during one of my earlier blog entries...
I was so frustrated until I just had to spill it all out... and then things brightened up after that...
and yesterday a near similar event.... and then things slowly got brighter again..

My luck...
The way my life runs...
Just coincidence....
whatever.... it's happening in my life.... so I'll just have to accept it as it comes...
til the next blog entry then....

Confessions of an Optimist

Sigh.. today's been all right, I guess... been doing a lot of thinking.....

the whole day was spent on Curtin campus...
Malaysian & Moral studies classes...
both classes had been quite interesting... though I feel SO tired... physically.. and maybe mentally too..
but somewhere along the day... I got a hard hit emotionally...
well... I suppose I needed it.. was going too far ahead of myself....
that hit left me to slow down quite some... left me thinking about myself... me...
I don't know... the future is so hard for me to predict... my fantasies so often block the future from my vision...
I so wonder.. what I've done in the past to lead me to such hard experiences..
or.. what my future holds that requires me to experience these darn hardships...

Recently, I finally realised why I'm an attention seeker..
I've to admit truthfully.. when it came to such things as friendship, personal problems, etc... I often know what needs to be done or what ought to be done...
well... that particular part of my knowledge is acceptably good at least...
and being such an idiotic and stubborn optimist that I am... I don't stay pessimistic for too long or will be able to find the bright side of things soon enough...
so.. when things start to go against me.. I often am able to get over them....
but... that's the thing... where's the fun in it or what's so great about it... if no one realises/knows/notices what you've done...

my family, I have to say... aren't so observant of my life... either that, or I just don't seem to let them in on how I've been...
my brother and sister that are still here in Miri... just seem to only focus on my bad side....
Sister "So rich lah! Buy this, buy that!"
Brother "Go to campus do what? get something from the lecturer... then what? go out with friends, ah!"
darn people.... I so envy those who are able to love their siblings so much...
I just can't find myself to love them that dearly.... I especially dislike my brother..
Yeah sure... he's elder than me.. but that doesn't make him more superior!
orders me to do things for him around the house... when he so easily could've done them himself..
"get my hp upstairs", "help me turn on the tv", etc..
he's even lazy to get the remote control sometimes.. darn fellow...
and really! He even insulted my friends as idiots, just for saying that "he looked like me"!! saying that it should be "I looked like him"!!
I know it's correct what he said, but come on!! People are used to saying it in that order!!
If you were with your close friend.. and then you first met his elder brother or sister.. surely you'll be more used to saying that the brother/sister looks like your close friend!!
only if you're so detail-conscioused then you'll rethink your words!
darn fellow...

well... whatever lah... like as if I care so much about that fellow...
my sister... so dislike her (though not too often) teasings... so sharp, it pierces painfully...
no point arguing with her.... just makes her continue her teasings even piercingly...

my mother is the greatest in my family.. love her the most... but sometimes she too can get annoying... I've to admit....
I know she cares about me a lot.. but she makes herself too worried all the time...
Out with my group of close friends for too long in the night, say nearing midnight, she'll call me and demand that I go home at that moment...
putting me on a 'too short' leash, in other words.. to my distaste...

I don't know... so many things inside me that I left inside myself... so many things inside me so many people around me are not able to see....
you know how sometimes, you just have this desire to share some things/emotions/feelings with others...
I don't know... I always want someone, especially my close friends, to notice something about me...
when they don't... I feel a little be saddened...
but when they do.. I don't share it with them... or at least... most of the time...

I don't know... it's just been me who's just not showing others what's inside me...
I don't know... my life is so complicated some times... or maybe I just made things complicated or even deceptively complicated..
I don't know... sometimes I just hate my life.. yet sometimes I love how I'd ended up...
I don't know... I sometimes it's so hard to live a life like mine...
I don't know... with so many things still left brewing inside of myself, it's no wonder that I'll have a short life, according to palmology....

I just don't know... sometimes... my life just seems so.... painfully difficult to go through...
it's no wonder why I so enjoy playing role-playing games.. let's me enjoy myself outside my own life....
let myself.. enjoy the wonders of fantasy... and imagination... how I so wish that I can have a life of such....

The Nurvana: Revolution

Today, I don't think will end as nicely as usual...
not that it's been a bad day or anything..... it's just....

Morning I had Moral Studies class... got to campus and to the class in time...
today's class was real interesting... Moral Studies for this summer course is gonna be fun for me...
and after the class, I got to print out the final draft of the Malaysian studies essay... and then handed it up to Mr. Arnold...
made a little making-sure-of about the class this Friday, which was Hari Raya Haji, but the Malaysian studies class is still continuing on, with no change in schedule...

after that, headed back home... then had lunch with Roger at Yakin Food Centre...
after that, I had a haircut and then the two of us got to my place...
he watched some Naruto while I tried to do some Moral Studies work... didn't do much.. but probably can be done by tomorrow.. hopefully... deadline is this Thursday...
anyway... tonight Roger & I have to work for a dinner function at Grand Palace Hotel... and we had to be there by 5pm...
by 4.30pm, we both headed of for the hotel...
when we arrived there, we met up with some of the other senior staffs of teh restaurant at the parking lot.
Guan Thai got to join us today for the first time..

anyway.. turned out that it was a wedding dinner...
and there were a lot of tables... and a lot for Roger, Guan Thai & I to learn about....
busy busy busy.... I felt that it was gonna be a long night when we served the second dish...
but.. in the end.. it didn't feel that it was long.. nor did it feel short...
lots of work.. but in the end, we all got to enjoy some of the dishes served this night and also the remaining drinks... (not leftovers by the customers, mind you!)

ok lah.. if you read the first statement in this blog entry, and read through the whole blog till now.. you'll probably wonder.. 'So what's so bad about today?'
well.. let me explain a small detail first... this Wednesday night, I'd actually planned for a movie outing with Azie...
this afternoon, I phoned her up to see if she was going.. she couldn't...
nope... that's not it.... her reason was that she was feeling unwell... and from her voice, I could tell for sure...
A while after the phone conversation... I realised something...
she was probably having a nap.. which would explain why she only answered my call after a long while...
and from her voice.. I was even more certained..... It was not as... sweet... as before...
when I keep thinking about her not being well... it makes me feel worried...
she's been unwell before.. but from her voice, seems that it is not a comfortable illness...
most probably gonna be thinking about it as I try to sleep...
Will try to talk to her tomorrow again...

anyway... thanks for reading my blog.... g'night!

Yet Another Sonnet for Az

Yup... I've gone and done it again...
Did another sonnet for Azie...
Please do give me your comment/s on it.

Sonnet III

How long it has been since that very day,
When I had confessed my feelings to you;
Quite some ago, yet fresh like yesterday.
And until now, those feelings still are true.

Since that day, we have gotten to be close,
I dare say, honestly, to my gladness.
Close friends was what you had considered us,
And possibly closer with time, I guess.

A brilliant angel still I see inside,
A sweet apple to my eyes, you are still,
A pleasure for me to be by your side,
And be closer to you I hope I will.

_____Yet another sonnet for my dearest,
_____I hope you like it, along with the rest.

You Got Served

Well... seems that I have been wrong about something.... my waitering job at the Grand Palace Hotel...
It seemed that I only work on Sundays.... not Saturdays and Sundays... oh well...

Today's work was really busy... boy... so many customers to serve...
work, work, work.... walk here, walk there... etc...
checked the time.. one hour into the work only.. T_T
work some more.. walk some more.... etc some more....
checked the time again.... another hour passed only... X_X

haha... but it was all right... eventually... after noon... things slowed down... less customers were around... thankfully...
an hour or so later.. Roger and I were allowed to go off... and we did....
today, I drove to work myself, so I headed back home on my own....

boy, was I glad to finaly got home.. my legs were complaining so much... (so was Roger's!) the kitchen's slippery floor took so much of my legs' energy.. just to avoid slipping and sliding!
sigh... so tired... when back home... after my shower.. I went straight to play PS2... get my mind off my feet... ^_^
played the new game that I bought.. X-Men Legends... love the X-Men!!
but didn't play for too long... cause I wanted to finish with the other games first... namely Arc The Lad... I'll finish the Silent Hill 3 game when my little cousin comes over..
played all the way until dinner time... ahh..... so soothing... the world of gaming.....

anyway.... after diiner.. after another shower.. went online.... and writing this....
oh.. my as well, add a little of yesterday....
last evening... got to talk with Azie on the phone... she'd told me before that her aunty borrowed the movie (National Treasure) disc from her uncle...
she got to watch it... but not the whole movie... but her aunty had already returned the disc back to her uncle.. and Az still wants to watch it...
so.. possibly, we might go to watch the movie this Wednesday.... hope it happens..

that all... FIN.

Blogger's Log...

/=======Start of Transmission========

Well.. today's been another day spent at Curtin...

Moral and Malaysian studies classes...
Both had been quite interesting... even Malaysian studies!
the teachers are nice...
sigh.. and both essays have been handed up.. but will have to get back the M'sian studies essay on Monday... will need to finish up the final draft... wouldn't want to lose marks just because I was lazy to do that essay better, now would I?

anyway... after Malaysian Studies class.. went to the Student Services... to ask them about the Curtin Ambassador...
turned out that someone else is taking over this group... the last person was Hadrian, the new Student Affairs Officer... but some time ago, I heard that he was gone already... no idea what happened there...
this new person was a woman this time... didn't take my time to get acquainted with her...
I was there to ask if they are still accepting students to join the Curtin Ambassador.. cause Azie was still interested to join... (to help with the coming semester's orientation in February)... apparently, they are still...
so I left them, Azie's name, student ID number and her contact number and then left...

Drove home and I got on the PS2 and played again... recently, I've been playing Arc The Lad... the fourth in the series I believe... not sure...
anyway... my whole body, especially my right arm and legs, has been aching ever since Tuesday's wushu practise... so probably not going to today's practise... besides, I have work tomorrow.. and I'll need the energy...

haha.. just now got to talk with Azie on the phone.. got to tell her what I did this afternoon at the Student Service..
then just talked... wasn't a long talk...

Well... nothing else to say.... that all.. End Log...

The Nurvana: Reloaded

It's been a few days since I last updated my blog... well... my reason is simple... nothing special had happened in thoes last few days..

though, actually, last night had ended sweetly for me. All cause of one sms reply from someone... (And to avoid any misunderstandings, sadly to say, it was not from Ilma...)

anyway.. today was I had seminar classes for Malaysian and Moral studies... if you recall me talking about extra four hours of class for both subjects...
anyway.. had a little trouble to start, but putting those aside, got to Curtin campus without any problem...
'survived' both the classes eventually near the end of the daytime...
hahaa.. nah, the classes weren't bad at all... just that.. my eyes are burning badly.. throughout today and even now.... darn it...
well.. tomorrow will need to hand up two essays for either classes...
Malaysian studies's essay I need to finish by tonight... darn it.. never fully fulfilled what the lecturer had wanted us to write in our essays.... and I thought that I was done yesterday... T-T

anyway... today's been quite good... the sms from last night still lingered in my head...
then got to bury the hatchet with a particular friend of mine....
and I'm certain that I'm gonna be able to finish that Malaysian studies essay, at least by tonight...
so... grateful for being able to have such a day...

Lotsa Catching-up....

Wow... nearly two days of activities to update on.... ok.. to be precise.. only one night and one morning's time to update mainly...
let's see then....

Yesterday... Saturday, January 8....
Only woke up near noon.. haha.. no idea why the late waking up..... must've been the lack of sleeps that I've been experiencing earlier this week...
anyway... watch some episodes of the FRIENDS series... (The popular, hilarious comedy series with Ross, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, Rachel & Monica) then after lunch time, my cousin, Jonathan, came over...
Played some Silent Hill 3 while my cousin watched me...
Couldn't get the last ending so have to play through one whole game normally and try again with the next new game... sheesh....
boy... when the riddle difficulty of the game is put to Hard.... man... the riddles REALLY need loads of knowledge to solve!!!
I probably could not have solved them if it weren't for the walkthrough that I found some time ago....

anyway... by 6pm.. had to stop... couldn't finish the game for today... will have to continue when my cousin comes over again...
anyway... one hour prepared myself to go to Oscar's house.... for the house-warming visit....
ok.. for some of you that might not understand what's 'house-warming'... I supposed it means something like an open house by a family in their new house... the house they've just moved into... something like that, I presume..
anyway... Oscar came to fetch me and then picked up Mary & Melissa...
I was surprised to see a lot of people at their house when we arrived... I had thought it was only gonna be Oscar's friends... but... it had included family friends, etc.... but, naturally.. we just sticked to our group of friends... Me, Oscar, Jacky, his younger brother, Cindy, Yiu Kiat, Tina, Yoong Kiat, Ing Fook, Melissa, Mary, Roger, Peng Ju, Lester, Chee Keong, Ing Ming and some more...
we had quite some fun.. just mingling amongst ourselves... catching up with old friends... and then having a little tour around Oscar's house... and then... some game of... UNO.. anyone familiar with this old game of cards?
anyway... we left the house at 10.30pm... but.. some of my friends decided that it was still 'early' so asked the others if they wanna spend some more time together at some coffee shop.... and yeah... some of us agreed to go... so we did...
someplace called... Perwira coffee shop (?)... near Mega Hotel... we spent some more time there..
Me, Jacky, his younger brother, Cindy, Melissa, Mary, Yoong Kiat & Ing Fook... just spent our time talking and having a few to drink....
one hour later, then we went our separate way.... Jacky was the one that sent me back home...

that was yesterday... now for today!!
Yes! I got the waiter job at Grand Palace Hotel.... I was told about this job, I think, last week, by a good friend of mine.. Man Ni... once classmates with Roger in Form 5...
anyway.... the guy she told us about just contacted Roger & I about the job last night.. at Oscar's house.... we were so glad! The job was a nice one!
let's see... Saturdays and Sundays... 9am - 2pm... RM3.50 per hour.... lunch provided... Yea!
Now, I can earn money throughout the year if I wish.. yes!

anyway.... this morning... Roger picked me up from my house and then we headed to the hotel...
Man Ni was able to greet us there and brought us through the waiter work..... though the two of us had to learn on hand immediately... no orientation or anything...
First day and we already have to serve customers and everything... so we basically had to learn as much as we can within the next few hours.... which was quite a lot.... for me anyway..
so busy.... kept walking here and there and etc.... barely any stops, except for lunch... and even that wasn't exactly set...
it was like... the waiters/waitresses had to take turns having their lunch... a few at a time.... depending who gets to lunch first....
Roger & I ate together of course... since we're in this together for our first days....
anyway... we ate at 12pm, if I'm not mistaken... and then.... one hour later.... we were already told that we can go home now...
one hour earlier.... hmm.... whatever lah, since the other senior waiters/waitresses were allowed to go home as well..
maybe that'll lessen our pay.. maybe not.. I don know... as long as I get paid is good enough..
which I wasn't for today, all right... so don't come looking for me to treat you guys to lunch or something....

oh yeah... just to add something ironic that happened...
just got into work.. and guess who I met.. eating at one table... my aunty's whole family... the one that had took me in to her workplace last month... hahaha!

anyway... quite tiring this work... the only time that I got to sit was during lunch....
my feets are complaining... hahaha! but I guess that's just another one of the sacrifices for this job...
that's all....don know any further plans for this week... we'll see what happens...... or.. mainly me...

Beginning of Summer(?)

Well.. today was the long awaited start of the Curtin Summer Course... well.. the LAN units anyway...

Morning, woke up early... got to drove to campus.... man.. what a long traffic queue...
Arrived at Curtin... then waited at the cafeteria... where we, the foundation engineering gang, had made plans to meet up first...
Amos, Krishna, Hari, Nadia, Liz, Rick, Sherry..... Ehon was also there... but he wasn't there for the summer course....
anyway... we all went in to the class... had a little trouble since (just for today) the class was changed... so we had a little trouble finding the new venue....
while finding the new venue, we met up with Snow Jae and she joined us to the class.. since she's taking Moral Studies for the summer course... which was the class that we were supposed to attend right now...

Found the class.. got inside... sat down... most of the students there were Degree Students.. hehe...
The lecturer was Ms. Azlin.... an interesting and a nice teacher... made me feel really interested with the subject...
anyway... turned out that we'll have to have to attend eight hours of class per week, instead of four.... so.. now I'll have a class on Thursdays as well....
anyway... we got to end the class half an hour than supposed and so we went for lunch....
after lunch, then went for the next class... Malaysian Studies....
the lecturer was Mr. Arnold.... interesting teacher.... haha... can be quite funny sometimes as he talked...
not to say that he was boring.. but.. this subject is basically... History of Malaysia after all... and history has never been my favourite subject since secondary school....
but... I'll still have to like this subject for now... once I pass it... then I can forget about it.. Hahah!
same as Moral Studies... we also had to attend eight hours of class for this subject per week instead of four.... so we decided on Thursday afternoon... after Moral Studies...

Thankfully.. Arnold's class ended one hour earlier... so then I headed to Grand Palace Hotel... and got to register a job enrolment form...
hopefully, I can get a nice job as a waiter here.. as a friend of mine told me about before.... for the weekends only... then maybe I can earn some pocket money....
anyway..... drove back home.. had a shower and dinner.... that night was another gathering at Hotspot.... to celebrate Mary's birthday....
Mary, David, Sze Ing, Oscar, Jacky, Cindy, David Yeo, RUidi, Chee Keong, Roger & I....
it was great time there....
but.... earlier... before coming to Hotspot.. it turned out that there was supposed to be another gathering at Seahorse.... with Peng Ju and some others..
but.. spending more and more time here at Hotspot.. by the time we were about to leave fro Seahorse.. the guys had already went off... early too.. just 8.30pm...

anyway.... then headed back home and I was online again...
hehe... tomorrow.. there is a plan for a house-warming visit to Oscar's house..... hehehe... can't wait!

The Poleman Show

Wow... today's been quite a day for me! Woohoo!

OK... morning... Roger came over to my house at 8am... watched some Naruto... then 9.30am or so, we left for Tyger's family coffee shop.... in hopes of finding a suitable job....
got there.... Denise, Melissa & Tyger were there... drank, talked, etc...
we got to find out that the vacancies were already taken.... so no job for us...
I also got to meet with an unidentical twin friends of mine, who were both my ex-classmates in Form 5... they were working there as well...
we had made plans to visit the Sunflower Center... well..mainly, Denise's idea... Roger and I just tagged along...
Denise then went to meet with her mother for lunch... Tyger went off to do her work... leaving Melisssa in the company of me and Roger...
after lunch there, the three of us headed to my house.. to wait for time before going to the centre... in the meantime... Roger & I got into a little practise with our magic tricks.... since we'd planned to do some entertainment for the children at the Sunflower Centre...
played some on Melissa.. then before we know it... we then left for the centre....

There, we met up with Rudi, Evelyn & Denise.... Adeline then joined us shortly after our arrival...
then... we went in.. turned out that Rudi had contacted the centre before our arrival.. to make an appointment of our visit...
having a look around the centre... the guys got to recognise a teacher from our primary school!
guess...in my last visit there, I never recognised her....
anyway... did a little catching up and then we all got to know somemore about the centre....
After a little discussion with the people at the centre... they got to gather the children to the main hall...
it was some time here that Roger & I were finding it difficult to think of some magic tricks that they'll be able to understand...
but after some tricks.. we got to succeed and the end result was pretty satisfying...
nearly everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves at the time... hehe!
all done.. about time for the children to head home.. we helped a little with the cleaning up....
then.. got to talk with our ex-teacher some more.. as she explained to us some more of the children and mainly how they try to find them jobs outside to do, etc....
after that... we left...

Then... night time... Jacky/Han Jac's birthday... a gathering at Hotspot.. which was near Al Fresco & Cheerie Berries...
Roger wasn't going to pick me up for tonight... Luckily, Oscar was generous enough to help....
So got there.... some others that came were Jacky (of course...), Cindy, Chee Keong, Lester, Sze Ing, Ngiik Ming, Mary, Gurvir and some others that I don't know the names....
we ate and drank and lots of laughs.. and the gathering ended with a birthday cake!
after that.... some went back... while some of the rest went for some snooker game.. nearby... Jacky, Cindy, Oscar, Gurvir, Sze Ing, Roger & I....
hahaa... had quite a good time there... plenty of good laughs, thanks Gurvir and his darn jokes... haha!
had a great time that night....

boy... the activities if compared between the morning at Tyger's shop and Jacky's birthday... it feels like such a contrast... that I thought it had happened in a totally different day! man.... time is flying fast in my mind!!

Anyway... on other news, I've gotten a new cellphone... Yay!! I won't say much on it so openly here...
Who knows who might target it in the near future....?

anyway... that all for today's show of mine!

F R I E N D S - Episode ????

Well.. today's schedule was.. quite booked.. and have I got something to talk about here...
ok.. let's talk about how my day went first...

This morning... Adrian Foo fetched me and we both headed and arrived at Roger's house at 11.30am..
helped with setting things inside his computer.... which was new... somewhat like.. set things up so that he can be happy with it.... something like that....
spent the whole day at his house...
for lunch.. went to Ma's Bakery to buy some Roti John... nice...
then returned to Rog's house to eat lunch... and then played the Malaysian version of the board game, Monopoly...
played for a few hours... and it was just the first game... haha...
in the end... never finished the game... (til only one player was not bankrupted).... Adrian ended up being the best player.. with the most houses and lands.... Roger ended up with the most money (that's cause he couldn't spend his money on houses or his lands, haha)...
and guess how I ended.....
nearly bankrupt and with only one area of lands to myself.... cheh...

anyway... that afternoon.. Roger got invited to a dinner at the chinese Boulevard Restaurant by Adolphus (another secondary school friend)....
A dinner with friends who were studying at Kuala Lumpur.. before they returned there soon...
in the message, the guys had wanted him to pull me in too.... but I had thought to save money and just go for Wushu instead...
but as time passed... I finally thought to join him lah....

night.. nearing 7.30pm... Roger came to picked me up at my house.. then we went to Boulevard Restaurant...
That night... the ones that were there were I, Roger, Rudi, Evelyn, Melissa, Denise, Tyger, Adolphus & Adeline....
boy, we sure had quite some to talk about huh? Haha!
so nice though... talked for hours there.... it was until when one of the lights were turned off that we all realised that it was time for the restaurant to be closing... Haha!
which.. I find... in a way... rude? cause..those restaurant staffs were looking at us bah...
whatever lah... not gonna accuse them of anything... we just left then...
then... got back and online as usual.. haha...

ok... my day done.... let me start talking about something... on the current issue of the tsunami event...
got to read in the newspaper this morning.... and I found something quite.. terribly, irrespectively... ironic...
in one article, I read that the people caught in the tsunami aftermath are suffering and their condition may be worsening...
then... some long distance away... somewhere in the Philipines... some policeman/men off-duty got shot dead in a gun fight with some civillians over the best spot to watch some nude dancers.... sheesh... darn people.... so caught up in their own worlds....

then, this evening... got to watch Starnews Asia... the confirmed death toll has reached 144,970.... scary... and the death toll is likely to continue rising...
and it seemed that shortage of food and drinking water and spreading of disease aren't the only problems being faced at the tsunami affected areas...
doggone it! thefts, burglary.. and worst of all... RAPE!!! my goodness!!
I can't believe how INCONSIDERATE & UNCARING these crime offenders are! preying on the vulnerable like that!!
thefts and burglary I can understand.... with the lack of anything.. I guess people just got desperate and start stealing from others... but.. RAPE!!!
I can never tolerate people who do that!! Rape has GOT to be the WORST crime a man can do to a woman.... or a girl, which is EVEN worse!! doggone it!!

..............
still worried about Ilma..... still no news of her since Christmas.... sigh... really fearing the worst..... 30,000++ deaths in Sri Lanka... that's really scaring me....

Monday, January 03, 2005

... no idea for title....

Well.... today.. wasn't so special...

Morning,
Roger came to my house... spent a little time with the newspapers... and talking on the topic of the tsunami disaster...
scary lah.. first the death toll was 2,000, then went to 20,000.. then 50,000... 80,000... then horrifyingly100,000... and then worse still 120,000... and now it already reached over 127,500++!!! my goodness lah! and still many more not yet found... and then there's the impending plague from all of the dead bodies.... my, oh, my....
truly I pray from the bottom of my hearts that things will turn out all right... this is like the worst disaster since the September 11 terror incident...
and.. got to read that the coming National Service trainees may get the opportunity to help out with the tsunami affected areas at Aceh, if they choose to accept...
man.. I feel envious of them... I'd DEFINITELY would love to experience helping out there.....
anyway... back to my day... after the little talk, we got into a little card trick practise.. hehe.. no revealing tricks here!! You want some tricks.. look for me...
anyway.. after that.. went to watch some episodes of Naruto...

coming afternoon.. made plans to have badminton with Adrian Foo...
so.. the usual time... went to the usual badminton spot... and played some rounds... Kevin was there as well..
Hehehe... it's been a while since I played... til I needed a few hits to recover myself... haha!
but I did notice that I'm getting quicker to get the drop shots... cool!!

anyway... that's practically all... will be online for the rest of tonight.. so... that all...
didn't even know what to name the title of this entry.. Hahaha!

Saturday, January 01, 2005

Happy New Year, both greeting and my start

Happy New Year, everyone!!
Right now... it's already 23 hours and nearly 30 minutes since 2005 began... for me anyway....
Today.. I should say.. it started at a slow pace... then it went in a completely unexpected turn somewhere along the way... fortunately... for the good!

Well.. let's start from last night eh?
My entering into the new year 2005.... was online... on MSN... with Nadia, Liz, Darshana, Nellie & Stephanie Ting (a friend of mine from secondary school, who'll be studying at UK soon)....
It was the first time I ever spent a new year's celebration online...
but I suppose it was to be expected... no family plans to go anywhere.... Malaysia's Prime Minister announced to place New Year's celebration to a minimum.... plus finally my routine online habit....
Meanwhile... Azie and her family had a performance at some.. dinner... I think... that was held at the Miri Port...
Oh yeah.. forgot to say that I got to spend some time in the Indoor Stadium for Wushu... with my cousins, uncle and aunty.. and Roger & Adrian Foo....
somewhere during Wushu, I got a sms from Bay... he sent me a 'Happy New Year' greeting sms..
Great! Thanks, Bay! Not only for greeting me.. but for giving me quite a nice sms good! hehe!
did a little editing to the sms itself... then send a draft to Roger's hp...
checked it.. it looked good... then sent it to Azie... hehe!
Anyway.. after wushu.. spent some time there.. just me, Rog & Ad.... just talking....
then returned home... THEN spent the rest of the time online... til after midnight.. after entering the new year, 2005!!

OK... now.. for today's happening...
well.. first off... today for some reason.. my house phone lines were a little off... something went wrong.. don't know what... problematic for going online... constantly going on and off...
thank goodness I was able to get some walkthrough for Silent Hill 3 at least...
so I was able to off from going online... or tried to...
So.. with some knowledge of Silent Hill 3... I was able to continue the game and get the other endings to the game...
then... hours later playing the game.. 3pm or so... I went to call Azie... wanted to talk to her... ask her about her performance last night....
but my house phone was problematic and could barely catch any of what she said.. so we got to decide to call back later...
so returned to my game... some time later.. she called me to my hp...
it turned out that she was at Boulevard together with Ankita... and now they had no transport to go home... so she asked me for a favour...
which was a bit of problem for me... but I agreed to try and get permission to drive out...
my brother who was home, didn't agree that I go driving... darn fellow... then he ended by saying to call mother and ask her...
called her up.... talked for quite a while.. then finally got the permission... thankfully...
so, brother has nothing to say.... but guess what... after I changed clothing.. the Telekom people came by and blocked the gate.. so couldn't leave immediately.. what timing....
Thank goodness they weren't here for too long... about half hour I think.....
then I was on my way... phoned Azie to tell her that... then left off...

Picked Az & Ankie, then drove off... Ankie wanted to head to Curtin.. just to visit and do a little something, I'm not too sure what exactly.... heard something about checking on friends who were back at the tsunami effected places...
but.. when finally arrived there.. it'd seem it was closed.... too bad...
so headed to Azie's house.... that night, Azie's mum planned to eat out at Sultana (Near Al Fresco & Cheerie Berries)....
Asked me and Ankita to join them.... I agreed to join and a little later, Ankita agreed to too... on the condition that she would be able to return home early tonight...
Hahaha..it was about 5pm.. the time to be ready to go for the dinner was 7.30pm... so we still had time...
I got to try out the game, Shadow Hearts: Covenant... interesting game.. but somewhere as I played it jammed... the whole game.. so stopped...
then, Azie asked me to help her through one part in Kingdom Hearts... the fight against one particular boss which she was having problem with....
hehe... of course, I agreed to help.. I was familiar with the game though I've never finished the whole game... yet...
boy.. hehe.. the boss was quite difficult.... cause of my lack of playing the game...
hmm... less then ten tries later.. I finally beat the boss... to Azie's surprise.. hehehe!
She was at her room when I done it.. went over to there... said I did it... she heard wrong and thought I said I've given up...
repeated what I said and her eyes just widened.. hahaa! "Really??"
leaving for the PS2, she kept muttering, "Is that for real?"
hehe! surely enough, it was for real.. then she kept urging me to save the game.. which I did.. then done with the PS2...

now... hehehe... an hour before 7.30pm... she was finding it annoying... my shorts... hehee... I supposed she had been used to dressing up nicely before going out... and I supposed she didn't like the idea of me wearing shorts and going out... Hahaha!
knew I should've worn long pants.. but I had never initially thought I'd be out til night!
finally.. after her shower.. she went to lend me her father's shirt and long pants and also a towel...
yeah... I showered at her house... so did Ankita.... hahaha!
to me... I feel weird showering at other people's house... except for that time I showered at iqbal's.. twice even... but both times were because I needed the shower and I wasn't going to be going home to do so...
anyway... had my shower... then just waited til we finally leave...
Azie & Ankita followed Az's mum while I drove alone to Sultana.. they went to pick up an aunt while on the way...
so... got to Sultana first and I got a table... but it wasn't long before they arrived...
sigh.. what luck... Sultana appeared to have low of stock.. they barely had anything on the menu... so had to order from Al Fresco....
soon, Tania & her mum came and joined us... we ate and drank there....
soon 10pm... Ankie had to go.... Az's mum wasn't going to send her back... so looked at me... haha...
yeah, I agreed to send her back..... accompanied by Azie & Tania...
hehehe... then ended up in a little.... 'adventure'....
hehe... got a little lost while trying to find Miri Hospital... which I went to last time when visiting Nellie, together with Roger & Adrian Foo.... I'm sure I written an entry on that some long time ago...
haha... even Ankie was having problems remembering the road....
after some rounds here... and some turns there... was relieved when we finally saw a sign that points out where the hospital was... Hahaah!
then headed there.. dropped Ankita off... then returned to Sultana.. where I dropped Azie & Tania down to re-join their aunts and mothers...
then drove back home.... end of today...

Well.... the 'completely unexpected turn' of today was when I was able to spend my time with Azie... I'm quite happy about today... hehe!
