Sigh.. so much happened... sheesh...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
My goodness.. so much happened.... how can I remember them all.... and chronologically correct?
sheesh... been so lazy to update the blog....

Last week, Wednesday... as usual... Curtin...
Once I arrived on campus, had to help VJ prepare the CV Booth.. so that the registration for CV Cheerleading team, Dance group, and Band & Choir could be opened...
sigh... recalled I tried to take care of the Student Council Election as well... getting people to vote for my party....
but it wasn't long before I had to go for class...
Less than two hours of class later, came out....
can't remember exactly what happened.. but it was just basically the booth, but mainly the election thing....
then another class... and then just basically wasting time.... which I did at the cafeteria before going to the admin building and then chatted with Anabel... who was waiting for her ride home...
Why am i staying around longer? that afternoon, I had been informed by Abel about a meeting with Dynasty hotel regarding the Charity Run they were going to organise sometime after middle of the year.... other member of EXCO to join this meeting are the Top 6 and the other heads of divisions...
As the time to meet came closer and closer... I got to meet up with Daryll, Serena, Kimmy, Iqbal, Izzah and then finally Abel before we left for the hotel...

At the hotel, met up with Snow Jae & VJ.... and then some of the hotel staffs that are organising the event, Daisy, Margarette(?) & the chairperson, Stanley, wasn't it? ain't sure....
we sat inside the cafe in the hotel... and got to order something to eat...
oh my gosh.. I am so glad that the food was actually free for us! Woohoo!! heheh! Honest from my heart....
anyway.... after dinner, we got down to business....
we of EXCO were told of what was going to happen and then what we were to do and take care of....
Our meeting ended an hour or so later... but we of EXCO and Abel continue our meeting somewhat longer... discussing amongst ourselves on a lot of matters....
we discussed for such a long time that we had to get our of the cafe and continue our discussion outside at the lobby...
the discussion was finally done at.... before 2am.... haha!

Then Thursday... came to school tired.. haha...
but there's gonna be a special meeting between the representatives of students (including most of the Student Council nominees) with the school directors and even Prof. Graham Lodwick & Dr. Barbara...
Met up with Izzah, VJ, Snow Jae, Kimmy, Serena & others before moving to the Council Meeting Room for the meeting..
The dialogue during the meeting was quite heated... as many complaints were surfaced...
the meeting ended two hours later... and some of us went to join at the cafeteria....
Later, in a few hours, I'll be having a quiz for Chemistry... so spent those time trying to studying as much as I could for it... Abel was even there to watch me try... hahah..
Anyway.. came time for the quiz... did better than I thought.... since I actually immediately gave up trying to input the information into my head, an hour before the quiz....
hehehe... hopefully it is enough to pass that one.... sigh....
after the quiz, lecture continued as normal...

Sigh.. after that class.. I contacted Abel... things had been running through my head and had really troubled my mind very much at one point somewhere during class...
I asked if I could talk to him one-to-one... I just needed to talk with someone... let it all out....
I did.... got to talk with Abel after he was free from his working hours...
I told him about everything that had been bothering me.... especially on one oarticular part of my life... sigh....
it helped so much to have someone at least listen to you and what you have to say... but Abel gives comfort and advises as well... which is more than just a bonus...
Just when I was done with my personal appointment with Abel... got to meet up with a few of the CV! Apprentices....
from there, Abel got to begin his impromptu motivation talks with them.. hehehe....
I however got caught up with a particular friend's problem.... accompany her lah.. try to keep her cool if possible... or at least be there to listen to her problem..

After she went off... to settle her problem.. I was really... really.... lost....
I really felt like I had nothing to do then... I just listened to my mp3 player...
smsed quite a lot... lost a lot of my credit there.... sigh...
I don't know lah... you can ask my friend, Diana... I was practically.... lost....
as the night got later.... Diana & Angeline actually pulled me to join them for dinner... I had actually just realised that I had not eaten....
While eating, I got to realise why I felt so lost earlier... It was plainly cause I had no plan for the rest of the night... and how I was going back home and even what time....
However, after dinner, got to make some plans.. and I felt less... lost.... I felt more normal... as normal as I can be...
got to hang at Iqbal's place with Angeline & Diana for quite a while... before heading home....
[Inside joke: Expired eye-mo.... hahaha]

then Friday.. the day has finally arrived.... the day when we know the results of the Student Council Election 2005....
Morning, attended Physics tutorial... the class was satisfyingly great for me... I actually understood pretty well what was going on... FOR ONCE!!!
after that... spent most of my time at the cafeteria.. and even at the computer lab... before going to the meeting venue where the vote counting will be done...
the meeting was supposed to be 12noon... but for some reason, when I arrived at the time, they had already began the meeting....
with the Returning Officer explaining how the vote counting system works, etc.... but in the end of the day, most of us are STILL unsure of how the voting system goes.... hahaha... need to work through it slowly next time...
well... 12 nominees and two had got to be eliminated....
one got quite little votes... but another two had quite a close race to stay NOT eliminated... and eventually one lost by only one or two votes... guess who was that?
Yup.. me....
sigh.... that was a dissappointing battle for me.. but I am all right about not being elected into the Student Council...
What REALLY got my goat was that.. of all my hard work to get the votes all this time... I had been expecting better... and to think I lost to that one person.. whom I, honestly dare admit, never saw worked to get people to vote...
but whatever lah... in or not... I would've been fine...
but sigh... alas... Benet, the Student Council President would not leave me out of it...
after the first meeting, he told me that I'd be back in the Student Council... and he ain't the only one who said that...
truthfully, not to brag or anything, I wouldn't be surprise...
sigh... gonna be so busy this year..... as much as I am busy already... sigh....

After the voting, I drove and accompanied Kimmy to mail something at the post office in town...
After that, also drove to Desserts cause she wanted to buy cake for Abel....
After that, then returned to campus... met up with Abel at his office... left him his cake... and then we went to rest a little at the cafeteria... before moving to the computer lab... where Kimmy did her Math Quiz and I just went online...
then time entered night.. Kimmy went on off while I headed to the admin building...
basically just wasted my time there... Abel was having a meeting with the CV! Apprentices (CV!A)...
Snow Jae, Serena and some of their coursemates were making a film there as well...
Krishna, Amos & Derek were amongst the actors in the film...
I got to join in Abel's meeting for a little bit in the end... and then suddenly, just when Diana & some others invited me to join them out, Snow jae suddenly asked me to join in the film making, amongst the actors and actresses..
so I did.. thought that they would only want me for a little while... but turned out it'll be longer..
took a long while... but eventually the filming was done....

Then had to wait for Diana & Iqbal to come on back to pick me up...
then off we went to Imperial Mall to have dinner... KFC...
I don't know why, but sometimes I just have the impulsive to just be randomly hyper... meaning, I just become strangely cheery and.. somewhat out of my slightly passive character...
anyway... after that dinner, did I headed straight home?
I believe I did...

Slept for quite long hours before I woke up to Saturday... Even the weekends I have no rest...
that afternoon, I was supposed to have cheerleading practise at Curtin... with Joanna and others..
Drove there... wanted to fill up my car with diesel... but then... with the shortage going on lately (Damn it!), the petrol station was packed with people...
so thought that I'd come back later evening when I headed back home or from Curtin...
big mistake there.... Should've just stayed and waited patiently!!
Picked up Kimmy at her place.. and then arrrived on campus... at the cafeteria, met up with the CV!A.. who were working on their campaign... namely making a banner, and posters...
we joined them... though we didn't really help them to do much of anything....
Spent the whole day with them... and eventually, Joanna, Gretchel arrived and we had our cheerleading practise...
sadly, attendance was poor and some of our cheerleaders just were busy with stuffs... sigh...
we barely got to practise... but nevermind... thankfully those mentioned knew basically the steps already...
this practise was for the promotion happening on Monday... and this was our only practise before then... hoped it turned out well...

Abel got to join us that evening... and soon enough, the banner was done...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Abel, the CV!A & their banner

after that, we headed off for dinner....
I drove Kimmy back home for a little bit.. followed behind my car was Roger...
after that, wanted to fill up on diesel... but then, my luck was not with me...
*Arrived at the petrol station*
"Diesel penuh (full).."... "Sorry, just finished..."
AHHH!!!!!
damn... no choice now... tomorrow I won't be able to drive the car... cause afraid no diesel for Monday...
Joined the guys at the coffee shop, the one that we had went before some time ago... somewhere along the road that I drove through for my driving lessons..
Had a great time there... before we moved on... to Desserts..
I drove on back home first... left my car.. and moved into Roger's car.... and then joined the rest at Desserts...
It was great few hours we spent there... we all got to know more about each other, especialy the CV!A; Tompoq, Diana, Johnna, Emy, Angeline, Eddy, Oscar, Roger, Jimmy, Melanie, Janice... and Aileen, who wasn't a CV!A, back had gotten to joined us earlier...
After that session, we all headed on home...

Then came Sunday...
CV! EXCO meeting at noon... Abel had agreed to pick me up, since I have no ride, after yesterday's event... The meeting was going to be held at Daryll's place...
there, we had our portluck lunch... which consisted of chicken wings, pizza, cheese cake & sausages....
then came our meeting... got to discuss a lot of matters that day....
had a break in between... had some more food.. with addition of crackers/keropok... haha...
then continued our meeting again... which ended by night time.. which was also when everyone began going off..
it was a fun and enjoyable time there... haha..
as serious as our dicussion may be... we always have fun somehow...
Iqbal sent me back home.... not staying up late this time...

Monday.... had to come to school late... sigh.. cause of my brother...
the CV!A's campaign began today... even starting off with a launching by Dr. Barbara, Acting Dean of Curtin and Dr. Ross Albern, Director of the Teaching & Learning Committee... as well as the cheerleading performance.. which didn't go perfectly.. but was all right..
had one class... then came back to the cafeteria...
the campaign so far isn't working well for the students of Curtin... lazy bastards...
Anyway... time went on...
I had planned to meet with my division members for a little discussion... since I just got a request from the SCS division (of CV!) to the AP Division to make some posters... and the CV Booth for next week's OMACHI event...
Wanted to discuss some details and delegate some tasks... but then turned out in the end, no one can make it but myself...
so thought to just give Lis her side of work on the CV Booth and then I take care of the poster myself...
I was quite.... upset by that.. but fine enough.... I won't take it personally..
got to make plans to work with Abel that night...

Before that... had a meeting with my three CV! buddies... just had to meet up with them and talk about things...
told them of the coming workshop open to them this Saturday... Campus Tour Coordinator Training...
had a long and quite a heated talk with one particular buddy of mine... hehe.. some of you reading this will most likely know who I am talking about...
after that... joined Abel to eat out... before coming back to do work...
work on the poster for long hours.... before was done and Abel sent me home....

Then came Tuesday....which I'll update on another day...

this is as far as I'll go for now...
hopefully I don't continue to feel lazy to update my blog... sigh....

Days becoming critically downing....

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Sigh.... things have been so down.. critically down for me as of late... sigh....

ok.. lah... Last Sunday was all right...
spent my time on the computer for the daytime... got to message with Abel during that time...
then afternoon, he and Iqbal invite me to join them out....
gladly I agreed to join them.. though I needed a ride to join them...
they planned to go out at first before going to Iqbal's house to do some work....
Ate at Boulevard's KFC... after spending quite some time there, talking and enjoying each other's company.. we then headed off....
Hmmm... wasn't as I thought it would've been when there... didn't do much work.. but did get some work done... hehee...
after that, went over to Serena's house for a little... and then went out to eat, Iqbal, Abel, Serena & I... the same coffee shop that we've went in the past week.. haha..... plus at the time it was coming to 9pm..
had actually thought maybe we go to watch a movie... but then it was too late already cause of the slow service at the shop...
Abel sent me back, accompanied by Iqbal & Serena and that ended the night...

Monday.... came to Curtin with my brother late morning...
starting today, the Student Council Election 2005 voting poll period began... it was initially to be located at the Lecture Theater Foyer.. but cause of the ever-worsening haze problem, the location had to be moved to the Library Foyer...
which proved to be a problem... since the foyer was a way more strategic area to pull students to vote... as time would soon show....
had to work to get students to vote for my party, CUSP... wasn't a easy job as most of the students don't come by the place...
after my only class of the day, I came back there to get more people to vote...
voting poll is open from 10am til 4pm, from today til this Thursday (the last day to vote).. and then finally Friday, when the results comes out... can't wait til then when all this suspence can finally be over...
When the voting poll closed that day, I spent most of my time at the cafeteria...

hehe... here's where one laughable incident happened... I'll just tell the story simply...

Kimmy just boarded the bus to go back to Curtin Village.. but she had left her glasses on the table at the cafeteria...
Noticing it, I took it and rushed to return them to her... At the bus stop, the bus was just about to move when I stopped it and boarded the bus...
went up to Kimmy and gave her back her glasses... just when I was about to exit, the door was shut... Ahh! hahha!
Then thought to just take a ride in this new bus that Curtin finally got after 3 years... or supposedly new anyway...
Thought to just accompany both Kimmy & Tompoq who was also on the bus... and along the way, get the feel of the bus for once...
When the two went off, I stayed behind... and turned out I was the remaining passenger onboard... which caught the bus driver's attention...
He asked... and I replied that I'll be heading back to campus... hahah!
On the way back, Giegel spotted me and when I told her what happened, she said, "No wonder you were smiling so much then!".... hahah!

Anyway, that evening, was a CV! meeting... a post mortem meeting regarding the Aventure Volunteer training workshop that we went through last Saturday...
All of CV!A and most of the EXCO were there first... boy was that a big impromptu party.. hahaha!
a few of the EXCO arrived shortly after Abel did....
Abel brought up a few matters regarding the workshop... and it wasn't long before those were settled...
then the main objective of the meeting was finally revealed... as a creamy cake with lit candles was brought in...
To celebrate Giegel's just belated birthday & Bay's very much belated birthday!! ahhhaa!

With that done, so was the meeting... though the CV!A had a quick meeting to cover some stuffs and then everyone were off to do their own stuffs...
Some of us went out to eat... Abel, Iqbal, Kimmy, Tompoq, Nadia, Daryll & I...
Abel got tired of eating at the same coffee shop in the past week... so we thought to eat some where else... and we did....
Don't remember what place it was... and lazy to bother explaining the location... the food there was all right anyway...
I phoned back home and told my sister that I'll be coming home late.... why?
cause I thought to join Iqbal at Abel's office to do work... any work... homework to CV! related work...
Worked for quite a while there... got to enjoy some good talks and laughs amongst the three of us...
We finally got out to go home at 2am... had some more argument with my mother...
what she said in the end.... just left me numb... I just don't know how to react anymore....
Just when about to leave, she even phoned Abel and asked him what we were doing...
I reached home about half an hour later and went to sleep..

And then came TODAY!! sigh.... today...
came to school very much in not a good mood... (though not in a grumpy mood)...
my throat really really hurt... since last night while working in Abel's office... plus with my lack of sleep that night and as of late....
plus again with what's happening in my family... sigh.... I felt really really not good... yet I still have to try to smile while I interact with them... except for those closer to me... then I acted more normally... example, me trying to take forty-winks on the table...
sigh... I felt so not well today.... the physical, mental and even emotional stress I've been having... AIH!!!
I so felt like just falling over and faint.... since that just won't happen... I just felt like having my whole body beatened up or thrown repeatedly against the wall or something hard.... or basically just suffering some pain...
honestly!! I was thinking that! I just felt like hurting my body.. I don't know why...

Still.. got to get people to vote for CUSP.. with that weak smile of mine... went to class and nearly slept all the time, I admit...
nearly had no appetite to eat lunch... I even mentioned to Abel today that I wouldn't be surprise to find myself weighing 50kg soon enough.... (I'm only around 55kg right now...)
got to set up some work to improve the voting poll... hopefully tomorrow, more and more people will be voting...
went to a couple more classes and then just when I went out of my last class.. encountered the CV!A team again.... and suddenly I was just pulled to join them to do a little of something...
SMSed my brother, saying that I'll be going back later... decided to follow Eddy & Roger back....
which we did at about 6pm I think..

Sigh.. lazy wanna talk about what happened when I came back early...
sigh.. more arguments... and I got to realise that my brother is pathetic when it comes to arguments... don't build good points to support his argument... or just back up my mother or sister's argument...
man, I'm making him sound like some villain in my life... hahha...
wish I could slay away this Evil in my world... like in the video games...

whatever.... but today really was a very very down time for me...
if there's a graph to keep track of my life's ups and downs.... today would've gone straight to the bottom.. or at least near it...
sigh... but... look at the bright side.. I just got permission to join Abel & others out to Desserts.. hehe!

~ Life is like a rollercoaster, there are ups and downs and even some loops along the way.

Hair Loss Myths (Males and females should get to know)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I found this from John's Multiply .... and thought that this information isn't only good for men.. but some of the information are good for the ladies as well...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Having a full head of hair is the pride of many men. For some, it's as important as owning a 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. So when Mother Nature gets into the game and your hair begins to fall out, it can be as disarming as if you were getting robbed of your identity.
There's a lot of information out there about hair loss, which can make it difficult to distinguish between fact and fiction. Some myths (like lack of sex or sleeping in the wrong direction can cause hair loss) have entered the realm of urban legends. So the purpose of this article is to set the record straight and see how hair loss can be prevented.
Age-old myths
Hair loss comes from the mother's side
While baldness is genetic, it is not limited to the maternal side of the family. The hair loss gene can come from either side. If your uncle Charlie on your father's side has a receding hairline, then chances are you might not be in the clear.
Wearing hats causes hair loss
In order for the hair to fall out, the hat would have to be so tight that it cuts circulation to the follicles. So no, wearing hats does not cause hair loss. Could you just imagine how many pro sports players would be bald if that were the case?
Losing a handful of hair daily is a sign of male pattern baldness
If you have male pattern baldness, then yes, you'll lose a lot of hair each day. On the other hand, if you don't have male pattern baldness, it can be normal to lose that much hair because it will grow back. Only time will tell, and you should wait and see if it does indeed grow back.
Excessive use of hair products causes hair loss
There are no hair care products that cause hair loss. You may sculpt your locks with as much gel, mousse or spray as you desire.
Standing on your head cures hair loss
The idea is that, by standing on your head, blood flow will be increased and your scalp will be regenerated. Specialists agree on the fact that it has no influence on hair loss at all; follicles need more than blood flow to grow hair.
Brushing your hair is better than combing it
Actually, your hair reacts better to a comb than a brush. Brushing it will only lead to split ends and hair breakage, not to male pattern baldness.
Cutting your hair will make it grow back thicker
This common misconception comes from the fact that hair is thicker at the base than it is at the tip, so it appears thicker at first. Cutting your hair does not affect hair growth at all; it will grow about half an inch each month no matter what.
Blow-drying produces hair loss
Absolutely not. However, blow-drying can damage, burn or dry the hair, which can cause it to fall. But this hair will grow back immediately, and is thus not considered to be permanent hair loss.
Excessive washing of hair causes hair loss
As mentioned above, hair care products do not harm hair. The same goes for frequency; you can wash your hair as often as you like, although three times a week is the recommended amount.
Long sun exposure favors hair loss
Since hair loss appears at the follicle level, the sun would have to penetrate at this depth to do any damage. Fortunately, your hair acts as a shield against the sun.
Color treatment causes hair loss
Most hair coloring products contain chemicals that can do serious harm to the hair itself if not properly used. But will it instigate hair loss? Not a chance.
Diet is related to hair loss
True; it's important to eat right in order to be generally healthy. Nevertheless, no food has been proven to be beneficial or detrimental to hair.
Stress causes hair loss
Hair loss may occur in extreme cases in which there's been surgery or an otherwise stressful event, which can cause a shutting down of hair production. However, it does not cause male pattern baldness as hair growth will resume in time.
Hormones are not related to hair loss
Technically, this is true. Still, hormonal imbalance can cause temporary hair loss, as is common with women after pregnancy. If it happens to you, the important thing to remember is that the hair will grow back.
Steroids have no side effects on hair
If you're into bodybuilding, you should be wary of anabolic steroids. Very potent chemicals, they do have some treacherous side effects, including acceleration of hair loss. The problem is that these side effects are usually delayed by several years.
Guaranteed prevention
Let's face it; there are a lot of products out there catering to the male pattern baldness market. While these companies try to offer a solution to generate hair growth, there aren't really any products that attack the problem itself. Until now, that is.
Retane does just that. It tackles hair loss at the source. This botanical hair tonic, containing vitamin B5, vitamin E, protodioscin, folic acid, aloe vera, inositol, biotin, and ginseng panax extract, is intended to enrich the vigor of your hair and scalp, and guard against extreme hair damage and loss. It's designed to give your hair and scalp the nutrients needed as you age and your nutritional requirements change. The idea is that healthy hair won't fall out.
This could very well sound like just any other product they sell on late-night TV, except that Retane has science behind it. Clinically proven, 86% of people using this product have noted a noticeable decrease in hair loss. Many of those who experienced early cases of hair loss also reported new growth of hair. Doctors are even recommending Retane nowadays.
How to use it
The way to use it is quite simple. When you feel you're starting to lose your hair, simply apply Retane to your scalp, once to three times a day, depending on the severity of your problem. A good time to do it is just before bedtime. The benefits of this treatment will become apparent within four to eight weeks.
Marvelous beginning, B!tching ending
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I am so out to b*tch about something.. at the end of this (surely long) blog....
Monday, April 11, 2005
let's see if I can remember my days correctly... ah, yes.... definitely I can... hehe...
Morning... early.. I wore my formal attire and rushed to campus.... why?
cause Benet planned to have a Student Council Elecion campaigning presentation of CUSP at 9am I think.... I got to reach to campus some time before that.... we were supposed to meet somewhere before proceeding with the presentation...
Just as my brother was about to park the car, received a message from Benet...
turned out that the presentation has been cancelled.... man.. and to think I had to go through so much trouble to get to campus on time, following my damn brother...
I can still remember.. walking from the car and going to the canteen... and there, I met with a few other members of CUSP... of course they got the same message as me... but they made apparent that they weren't too happy... hahaha... but no hard feelings.. haha... just bothersome... cheh...
Anyway, my only class for the whole day was only 1pm... but we, CUSP, had a presentation to do at the same time as well...
got to talk with my dear lecturer, Ms. Anita, and she allowed me to be late to enter her class... sigh.. so nice...
for the rest of my free time, I just hung at the CV Booth... An event, the Blood Donation Drive was coming soon... that coming Wednesday... and we were trying to collect more blood donors to pre-register themselves for the event...
Then came that presentation I mentioned earlier.... CUSP met up for a while and then discussed quickly on how our presentation was gonna be like... and a few minutes later, we then went to the Lecture Theatre (LT) and went into the start of the class...
man.... I was so nervous... standing in front of all of those people, whom I only know very few... I was shaking really... haha!
but the presentation was quick and soon we were out of there and the lecture went on like usual...
Immediately, I went straight to my class... didn't miss much and got to resume my lecture as usual...
After class, stuck at the CV booth.. before closing it and then staying at the computer lab...
had thought to update my blog but then thought otherwise... which led me to writing this LONG blog entry now.. sigh...
Tuesday, April 12, 2005
morning, came to Curtin, as usual... opened the CV Booth... got to have someone replaced my shift and then went for class...
After class, noon, met up with the rest of CUSP and had a quick briefing period with Benet, on our actions throughout this week of campaigning for the Student Council Election...
after that, we did our presentation at LT again... this time to a different group of students...
was nervous again.. but thsi time, a lot more calmer...
hung at the CV Booth for some time before going for my classes...
Two separate classes later, got to meet up and eat dinner with Iqbal at the cafeteria.. got into a particular delightful topic about delicious seafood... not a topic that I often talk about.. but the large crabs from Japan just makes my mouth water.... one piece of a leg is more than enough compare to the whole of a crab that can be found here in Miri... sigh...
Iqbal had to go home for a while... before comng back for the CV meeting that night...
I had time and spent it doing my Math homework that I got that evening...
almost finished them but then had to go for the meeting at Council Room...
this meeting was mainly about the Blood Donation Drive happening tomorrow!
besides that, we also discussed about the Abanteara Volunteer training workshop happening this Saturday...
After a long meeting, quite a long one... we went downstair to the lobby to arrange the venue for the Blood Donation Drive that will be held there...
After that... went out to eat... at a coffee shop somewhere near Abel's home... then off to home to sleep...
Wednesday, April 13, 2005
morning, I ate breakfast... only slightly more than my usual appetite... had to prepare myself... you'll know for what...
came to Curtin with my brother.... then just waited at the admin lobby once I arrived...
I was early and everyone else came quite late than supposed to... haha...
We got to prepare the venue further when the people co-organising the Blood Donation Drive with CV arrived with all the equipments...
It was early and there wasn't much people... Abel was the first to donate his blood.. as always...
Today I had actually planned t donate my blood.... I registered, checked my blood and also blood type (O+.... after so long of wondering!!)... passed that.. but when checked for my blood pressure... I failed... and seemed to have a high blood pressure at the time...
honestly, I was really disappointed that I failed and was deemed not illegible.... sigh...
but thankfully, got to talk with them.. and they say it is all right to check my blood pressure again later... and try to calm myself down then... and maybe my blood pressure would slow down.. it was possibly just cause I was nervous.. being the first time wanting to donate blood and all...
Went to class.... when there was break somewhere during class.. I went to visit the place again... ten minutes later, went back to class...
was out of class about half an hour earlier... and had my lunch....
after lunch... then stuck around for the Blood Donation Drive... some time later, I got to check my blood pressure again, and YES!! Passed!! My blood pressure did come down... and so now I am illegible... hehe...
sigh... it was scary at first... but it wasn't bad at all... the pain of the injection was as much as a bee sting... without the poison...
the first injection to your arm is to numb that particular spot of the skin... so, when the needle to extract your blood (which is a lot bigger) is used, you won't feel the pain.... haha... really... I was fine..
about five minutes or more later... 400ml of blood had been drained out of me... and I felt so tired after that.... sigh...
the event went on for a few more hours before everything was done...
I wasn't there to do the post-work after the event, cause I had class... hahaah!! Got to escape from having to clean the place up!! haha!
After class... got to stick around some more.. had dinner at the cafeteria... with Serena and a few others...
soon, it was time for another meeting, 6.30pm... meeting with about half of the EXCO members.. who were able to come that night.. Snow Jae, Serena, Bay, Kimmy, Iqbal, Izzah, Giegel, VJ & Gretchel... (sadly no representatives from the PA division while all the other divisions had two each...)
this meeting was not compulsary.... but I defniitely wanted to come.. why?
cause this meeting was to interview with 11 potential people that we've picked to join us for the Abanteare Volunteer training workshop, this Saturday...
In less than half an hour, we discussed amongst ourselves.. and Abel told us of what questions we should ask them.... which was mainly all CV related....
then time to call in our candidates... Tompoq, Johnna, Emy, Angeline, Eddy KK, Diana, Oiwoja, Janice, Melanie & Jimmy..
the interview turned out to be quite intensive in my view... with difficult questions thrown at them...
they answered the best they could... and we got to identify quite some number of potentials amongst them....
the interview took over two hours, despite my darn hunger and the chilling coldness of the room (which stopped only at the end of the interview... man, was I shivering bad...)
after the interview, we have the candidates, now called the CV! Apprentice (after the reality show which stars Donald Trump, called 'Apprentice'), go home... it was over for them... but not the rest of us...
Amongst us eleven, including Abel, we discussed about the candidates... most of them showed big potential... but there were a particular few that didn't perform as we would prefered....
we had initially thought to only select EIGHT out of the eleven of them... and we had a VERY HARD time to decide....
in the end.. after a long time (an hour?), we finally decide that we bring in all of them... and put them all under probation period this whole semester.... to see how they perform and if they are as they say they were during the interview...
After that, we went out to eat... at we ate at the same place as the night before.....
at first, I was fine... but as the night progressed I began to feel less and less all right.... probably cause of the combination of the bitter coldness and then my starving stomach.... maybe the lack of blood in me contributed to my unwell-ness that night...
then, to make matters worse, it began to rain later that night.... most of us rushed to finish our foods and drinks before we went off to pay our bills and then off to home...
My goodness today.. I completely missed my Physics Lab cause I thought it was the week that I didn't have it!! ahh!!! darn it!!
but it's all right, I suppose... just once... my as well.... let it go... hahaha!
anyway... that day, there was some more campaigning done by CUSP..... just passing out flyers in the cafeteria...
for those of you currently studying in Curtin still....
VOTE FOR CUSP FOR STUDENT COUNCIL!!!
anyway...... it was just a quick one before we were done...
guess what ah?
that afternoon, at 3pm, I went for classs... and found out that there was no lecture for today... cause Ms. Lau was away.. Ahh!! I thought that was for the lab!! Ah!! So the whole day, I did NOT attend any classes... Great!! [sarcasm]
anyway.... still had to stay back... cause got Math test that evening..... at 5.30pm.... the whole day I spent mostly revising the math calculations and all...
spent a little time at the cafeteria.... before came the time that I decided to go to the library...
wearing black formal attire everyday since Monday (except Wednesday) is very hot.... so went there for the coldness plus the proper environment...
There, met up with Kimmy, Navodi & Fiona... but soon it was just Kimmy & I when the other two left...
she did her Math homework while I studied for the Math test... hmph... she is in Degree by the way and I'm in foundation so don't think she has a Math test to take as well! haha!
An hour later, time to go for the test... went through the test and I was out in less than twenty minutes... hehehe...
the questions weren't too difficult and I did my revising right...
had nothing to do now... no ride back... don know how now... I just then had the urge to go to the admin lobby.. no particular reason... and guess my luck...
there, I encountered Abel talking with the 11 CV! Apprentice (CVA)... seemed that he was having a secret meeting with them, unknown to all EXCO... and I had just wandered into it without realising it...
I stuck around and listen and watched on as he talked to all of them...
somewhere in the middle, Lis & Nadia came and listened and watched as well...
Abel told the 11 what were the decision and what was planned for them.... a work, a task for them to do.... so that we of CV can study they performance... and evaluate them as well...
It was exciting to have them try to do this task as the work is just right for them all.. not too hard.. nor too easy... not too big, nor too small... plus it involves the Curtin community..
Now this 11 will be working together to achieve this work... so anticipating!
After Abel left, the 11 had a meeting.. and I automatically took the role as 'Abel's eyes & ears' to monitor their first performances...
I even wrote the minutes of their meeting... so far, in my opinion, the 11 performed well.. and they got to produce some very good ideas... but their standard of thinking aren't that high yet.. still naive and young...
anyway... after the meeting, got to report to Abel straight after upstairs at his working place...
after a while there, we went out to eat.... decided to go to Cafe Rosita at Dynasty hotel....
Abel wanted to go there, and Iqbal & I thought to have him indulge once a while...
sigh... my money... T-T
Today I have no class at all.... but I have a few meetings to attend... man...
first.. arrived at Curtin a few hours early.. before 1pm... got to have a division meeting with Lis & Krish at Krish's place, Iqbal couldn't make it...
We discussed on a few things and we got to finalise a few things... it wasn't long before we were done already....
after a while of spending some time there.. then went back to campus...
met up with Kimmy and soon went to meet up with the rest of CUSP at 3pm...a simple meeting before we all went innto LT and present ourselves for the last time...
After that... Kimmy planned to go visit the doctor to check her coughing... I went off to work on my proposal... one hour only to work before another meeting with CV...
had to rush, but I did one proposal and got it printed... then went to the Council Room... to find that Abel hasn't came and we just waited outside the locked room...
he came twenty minutes or so late.. cause he had to attend a few impromptu meetings... but the meeting was delayed further cause of the late arrivals of other members...
We finally started quite a while later.. discussed mainly on the Abanteare Volunteer training workshop (happening tomorrow)... which has been changed to Aventure Volunteer... 'Aventure' meaning advancing forward...
We discussed on quite a number of matters... and a few hours later, we were done...
we went downstairs to the library to set up the venue for the workshop for tomorrow... it took a while... but we did it...
After that, went to eat at Lou Bin Tang.... we got to talk alot and for a long time... man it was so enjoyable... Learned quite some about each other... or me learned the others anyway... haha...
during that time, Roger got to sms me, asking to confirm if he was not gonna be nvited to join for the workshop tomorrow... when putting forward our nominees, Roger had slipped my mind, cause of his lack of activeness all this while...
I had asked Abel if he could be asked to join before... but then after thinking for some time, he decided not to.. and I accept that..
replied Roger that he wouldn't be joining... he seemed to be somewhat disappointed about that from his sms... but I even got Abel to say a few to him through sms...
Anyway... after a LONG while, finally we went off... sent Kimmy back home and then I myself headed home...
As I was driving home, suddenly Abel called me and told me to have Roger to come for the workshop tomorrow... I was so surprised at the sudden change of mind!
I drove a few more distance after hanging up with Abel... then I just couldn't wait any longer.. I just phoned Roger... disturbed his sleep and told him about it... and blahblahblah...done.. then reached home...
by the way, by then it was late.... damn this is definitely one of those times that I REALLY despise... dog-gone it!!
So annoying... my mother.... man... got a scolding bad last night (at 1am this morning to be precise)... I defended myself but my mother is as stubborn as always...
Just then, Abel happened to sms me, asking what was Roger's reaction from teh news... I replied... nad then some...
I told him what happened... I'm quite sure that he was surprised by my second reply when I said I was crying right then.... it hurt so much...
he called me after my second reply... I answered the phone and talked to him outside of my house....
I was crying so much as he tried to comfort me... but I felt better after got to talk with him... and got to sleep after that....
Saturday, April 16, 2005 (today)
This morning, woke up early.. got to go online for a quick while.... prepared myself to go out...
met up with Roger later and then off we went to campus... but arrived there so early... sheesh that boy.. hahah...
so just waited at the lobby...
slowly by slowly, more and more of the others came... including the CVA..
Then came the time to energize ourselves, ten minutes before the start...
We did a little dance to energize ourselves... lots of laughs there... haha... then we start... with Associate Professor Rosslyn Albon, Director of Teaching & Learning, as our workshop conductor...
the workshop was loads of fun... haha... did roleplaying and experienced a type of training never i've done before.. learned quite some a lot from this....
this workshop, in my view, was very much on adapting yourself to a new culture at a new working place or seomthing like that....
the workshop lasted for over three hours, including the debriefing session, where we take a look back at what we've experience during this workshop...
After the workshop is over... we re-arranged the library venue to the way it originally was... and then went for lunch...
the CVA team, including Roger, had a meeting after lunch at the cafeteria...
Abel, Iqbal, Kimmy, Daryll, Nadia & I got to be there to watch them (some of us for only a while only)...
the meeting took quite some time...
After the meeting, I waited for Abel to send me back home... Kimmy followed as well...
she got home, and then Abel sent me back...
sigh... stupid my brother... here's the scenario...
I just got home...
Brother: What is mother cooking?
"... I just came back, how should I know?"
Brother: Fried chicken wing la! Smell already know!
"..." *resume my stuff*
Brother: You know why you don know?
*Thought: what...?* "Why?"
Brother: Because you don't care...
*What the f*ck!?*
What the f*ck is so damn right... what the hell lah this bastard! I come back home, first thing he does, wanna start a fight with me....
I felt SO angry and that moment... damn bastard.... sheesh!
so damn hate that boy! No way am I EVER gonna love or respect him! I see no point for it or whatever! Shit that boy!
fine lah him... let him have his way... 'What goes around comes around.'
then tonight, spent most of my time updating this blog... sigh... hhaha!
~ Life is like a bed of roses; even roses has its thorns.
(This two should come together... suits together very much... if you can catch what it means... but it is very plain and clear what it means. for me at least...)
In Columbia Pictures' sophisticated romantic comedy 'Hitch', Alex "Hitch" Hitchens
(Will Smith) is a legendary - and deliberately anonymous - New York City "date doctor" who, for a fee, has helped countless men woo the women of their dreams.
While coaching Albert
(Kevin James), a meek accountant who is smitten with a glamorous celebrity, Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta), Hitch finally meets his match in the person of the gorgeous, whip-smart Sara Melas (Eva Mendes), a gossip columnist who follows Allegra's every move.
The ultimate professional bachelor, Hitch suddenly finds himself falling deliriously in love with Sara, a reporter whose biggest scoop could very well be the unmasking of Manhattan's most famous date doctor.
About the Film: Synopsis")
Ok.. time for my review...
I will say this... watching this movie had been quite a pleasurable and enjoyable experience for me...
Though the logic of this movie was more than I could anticipate in real life, namely the life that revolves around ME!! hehehe!
The story is very interesting and the jokes are excellent... for a movie that is done purely without the help of computer animation of ANY kind.... unlike some movies... *coughRobotscough*
the main few characters all have their own stories to follow throughout this movie... and it is very entertaining to watch them do....
though the ending is definitely out of the usual... but nowadays, in the realm of movie-watching, it isn't the ending that counts... it is the path towards the ending that counts... BIG TIME!!
Well.... come to think of it... I really don't know what to say about this movie...
All I would say is.. I will undoubtedly say that this movie's title as the latest funniest romantic comedy movie is no mere title...
It is legitimate and I would gladly recommend anyone to watch it... especially for boys and men....
Women and girls.. you may watch this for the entertainment.
I am certain that everyone, late teen and above, will be able to enjoy this movie... if they give it a chance...
A weekend of work and still fun!!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Yo, everyone.... hmm... honestly.. I don't know what to say about how I am feeling now...
just that.... sigh.... this week no financial income... T-T
Yesterday was a Saturday... Nothing much happened yesterday... Spent my whole day at home...
I had planned to work this weekend.... work as in work on certain tasks from Curtin Volunteers! (CV!).... namely the blogspot.. worked from morning til late in the afternoon....
nearing evening, contacted Izzah.. she had made plan to go out and watch a movie that night...
finally got a plan when nearing night.... but problem was, no one would be able to pick me to Parkson / Bintang Plaza...
I had quite a trouble convincing my mother.. but eventually, got to be allowed to go... sigh....
Initially, the plan was to watch the 'Ring 2/Samara' movie at 7.30pm... which was half an hour later when I was heading there...
but as I was heading to Parkson.. suddenly, got a message from Izzah saying that they'll going for the 9.15pm one... apparently there had been a delay on their moving to Parkson..
Great.... and to think I thought they were already there....
nevermind lah... so I just wandered around aimlessly at first... and to my luck... guess who I ended up running into.. Kimmy, Michelle, Rama & Rachel....
hehe... got to stick around for a bit before they went off and I headed on my own way...
got to meet with a few other friends... including a couple of ex-tuition mates! Tony & David!
They all went watching for the 7.30pm movie... sigh.. couldn't join them... *shrugs*
Oh yeah! I also got to encounter a couple.... Rick & Sherry... turned out that Sherry had shouted my name.. but I didn't hear anyone call me... but at least I met up with them...
oh yeah.. soon after that, Izzah messaged me.. saying that she and the others are eating at McDonald's... so headed straight there....
There, I met up with Izzah, Gretchel, Josh, Karl, Marwin(?), Navodi & another girl whom I don't know the name... XP
we just sat there, ate, talked, etc... Kimmy, Michelle, Rachel & Rama came by once and then went off to do their own stuff....
Soon, Izzah, Gretchel, & a few others went to buy the tickets... when they returned... turned out that some of them prefered to go and watch 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unforunately Events' which was at 9pm, which was the time they returned and so off they went.....
So the only people going to watch the 9.15pm 'Samara' were me, Izzah, Navodi, Josh & Karl...
sat down for a little longer, before we headed on up...
The movie was quite enjoyable, though I heard a lot of comments that the first movie was scarier.... frankly, I've never watched the first movie, so in the beginning I was a little off of the story... and throughout the movie I literally couldn't expect myself to expect anything from the movie... except some fright and thrill...
and that indeed is what I got from the movie.. this is the ONLY movie that got me so into the happenings... I was shouting for the main characters to not do that or else something was DEFINITELY gonna happen...
definitely gonna be writing one review for that movie... along with a few others.... tonight I have time.. GOOD!!
OK... after the movie.. it was real late... I would need to call back to get a ride back home...
however, the others were planning to head on to Cheerie Berries (CB)... and they had plan to get a cab or bus to go there...
since I thought the fare was way too much for them, since they'll be getting a cab to head back to Curtin... I thought to offer them a ride to CB..... but I didn't...
hehehe... yeah right...... I'm not that mean.... I offered them a ride.. called my mother to drive over the big car (the one that I drove all the time)...
Navodi had to go back home though.... she was still not feeling well and she was going to rest back home...
initially, we opted for a cab... however.. that option changed...
when we came downstairs to wait for my mother and the cab at the main entrance of the complex... we met up with Ankita & Fiona...
Ankita was going on home with her father.... but then turned out that her father was offering Navodi & Fiona a ride back to Curtin Village... at first, the two declined, but the father's persistence convinced them otherwise and so, called the cab driver to cancel the trip and then the girls gone on home...
the rest of us waited a while longer before my mother finally arrived...
Izzah, Gretchel, their girl friend (who I don't know the name, sorry), & Marwin (?) sat at the back seat... while Josh and Karl had to make themselves comfortable at the space at the back of the Toyota...
the trip was short, we talked about the movie along the way.. and soon, my mother dropped them all at Al Fresco...
bid goodbye and off I went back home with my mother and then went to sleep....
Today.... woke up at 9am, one and a half hours later then I had wanted to...
went online to do some of my stuffs... before heading off to Curtin...
had a meeting with Benet and the other CUSP members about the campaigning week, which is this coming week...
JUST as I got into my car to drive off... Kimmy messaged me, asking me to pick her up...
immediately I agreed and off I went to go over to her place first... picked her up.. and off we went to the meeting venue, still a not-to-be-disclosed secret.... in my view...
discussed on what we were going to do, etc, etc...
the meeting went on for quite a while... longer than any earlier meetings... Raymond came by somewhere during the meeting... and offered quite some advise...
as the meeting went on... I was watching the clock.... I had to be heading back, latest 1.30pm... cause my mother needed the car at 2pm...
thankfully, that was EXACTLY the time that everyone headed off...
I sent back Kimmy and then went on back home....
Home.. showered... ate a little... and then worked on the computer..... worked the whole rest of the afternoon on the CV! Blogspot..
fixed some minor details of the blog... time-consumingly tried to add and beautify some details of the blogspot itself... and by evening time.. i was finally done...
after that... had some annoying problems come up...
but thankfully... just because I chose to ignore my annoyed emotions... I was able to get things to go well for myself...
and I feel so good and proud of that... hehe...
anyway.... this week... campaigning week for the Student Council Election at Curtin...
gonna be seeing me wearing in black and formal for quite a while.. haha!
plus this Wednesday, there is the Blood Donation Drive... have a lot of the new students joining CV to help out with that... can't wait to see what will happen there...
~ I have a believe that...
Bad days over, it seems...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Wah!! So long didn't online!!
haha... nah.. just less than two days.... since yesterday morning after my last blog entry....
sigh.... had lots to do.. and gonna have lots more work to do this weekend....
ANYWAY! Time to update my blog!!
yesterday.. a Thursday...
After my blog entry... did some work on the computer... before heading off to the cafeteria to the CV Booth...
Spent my time there while waiting for my one and only class for the day....
Did some homework and at the same time, got to hang with some occasional company... Diana, Jimmy, Kimmy, Gretchel, Josh, Oja, Oscar, Fiona, Lis, VJ, Iqbal.. and even Abel... though only for a while...
yay! I also got to get some new songs into my pendrive + mp3 player... Yay! New entertainment!! hehe!
Despite the long hours... it felt short when came my class at 3pm.... my ONE hour Chemistry lecture with Ms. Lau...
after lecture... came back to cafeteria and just stayed there....
that morning, got informed that there'll be a CV Meeting with Abel... to catch up on things, since his one week's absence to China...
Just stayed there... and got to sit and talk with some friends... Iqbal, Abel, Kimmy, Snow Jae, Serena, John Mui, Darshana, Derek, Giegel, Ankita, and then some...
spent my time there for a couple of hours before the meeting time....
Met up with most of the others at the usual meeting place.... they were some that were absent, unfortunately...
we got to discuss a lot of matter... despite the seriousness of the meeting in some moments.. we could still have some good laughs in between... haha...
Meeting done over an hour later... before 9pm... Abel then planned to go out for something to eat...
he went on off to his office to take care of a few things, accompanied by a few people... while most of us came on down and headed on home..
I came down and met up with Iqbal... who was not able to make it for the meeting cause he had to attend a 'delayed' class..
I updated him on some of the meeting that we discussed.. mainly the ones that involved him and our division...
Soon, Abel came down and off we went... joining Nadia, Lis & Azie to somewhere Nad & Lis ate before...
the place is not too bad... good (red) atmosphere... good food.... but can't say the same for the workers there... too... unattentive?? or was it just me? seemed to me like as if they aren't as alert to notice unattended customers as they should be... whatever...
The place is situated near Mega Hotel.. and also near to the pub.. Wheels...
anyway.. after that..... headed home and here comes the next day, which is TODAY!!
Morning, drove to Curtin.. for a two hour Physics tutorial at 8am.... before class began...
class was dismissed ten minutes earlier... and I immediately went off to do some things before Chemistry lab session at 10.30am...
got to even spend some time with one of my CV Buddy... Chin.... (CV Buddy is something related to the CV Buddy Programme that was launched during CV Welcoming Gathering)
got to catch up with him a little... got some valuable information about him..hehe...
Anyway... after my lab session... did some work on the computer again.. including transfering some important data to my friend.... namely my Physics lab report.. haha!
after that... hung around cafeteria... with Kimmy & Michelle..
but soon... had to go for a workshop... 'Effective Paraphrasing'... or something like that... 1.30 til 2.30...
it was a good and simple workshop... on the importance of paraphrasing to avoid plagiarism, blahblahblahblah...
lots of attendance to my surprise... but mostly were new students, I recognised.. haha...
anyway.. after that session.. went back to join Kimmy & Michelle at the cafeteria...
poor Kimmy.. sigh... fell sick that afternoon... kesian...
body felt sensitive to cold all of a sudden... she even asked to borrow my jacket while we were at cafeteria! in the warm weather... my goodness...
and too think she had to go for a test later evening...
Her condition didn't improve when she went for her exam... with lots of my other friends... Michelle, Tina, Roger, Adrian, etc...
and it didn't improve when she came out...
I got to send her home after that... hope she'll feel better soon....
and well... came home.. and did usual..... came online after...
Realised that I had predicted some bad days ahead on Thursday morning... but turned out my days hadn't been too bad...
guess that Wednesday had been my downest point for the time being...
in the future there'll be more to expect.. sigh....
Will be looking forward to a few bad days...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Sigh... I'm feeling not so good.......
and sigh some more... three days to update on...
Let me see now... how did it go...
Monday, April 4th
I believe there wasn't much for this day...
Came to Curtin... only class was at 1pm til 3pm... Research & Writing Skills 062 with Ms. Anita...
Besides that, I believe I just hung around the cafeteria... can't be sure what happened besides that... really...
this day was supposed to be the day Abel returned from his trip to somewhere in China.... but that whole day I didn't see him... *shrugs*
Tuesday, April 5th
Came to Curtin early in the morning... and just hung at the CV! Booth at the cafeteria...
Today it is opened again for the upcoming event, the Blood Donation Drive, which is under the Social & Community Services (SCS) Division; Izzah, Nichalos, Amos & Giegel...
A few hours later, class.....
then lunch time, came back to the cafeteria... or whatever else....
I can still remember, I skipped my Chemistry tutorial to catch up with Abel who I just found at the cafeteria, a few minutes before the class.. heheh... no worries about the tutorial...
an hour later, went for another class.... Engineering Maths...
After that... made plans with Iqbal for that night...
Earlier with Abel, he said they might wanna plan an outing that night...
sigh.. this night's plan alone made me lost nearly RM10 of my phone's credit... *big sad sigh* T_T
anyway.. was able to make some plans for that night and round up a few people to join us... namely me, Iqbal, Abel, Serena, Izzah, Diana & Gretchel...
Our plan for that night was simple.. just eat dinner somewhere and then Desserts...
as all of us, except for Abel, headed off from Curtin... we decided to eat at Sultana...
Abel wasn't able to join us for dinner for other reasons... but he was able to join us, a short while after we went into Desserts...
the night, we all had fun... just catching up and stuff... haha....
Oh yeah... I need to explain something... that night there was supposed to be a meeting amongst the CUSP members... but I asked Benet that morning and he told me he had canceled the meeting... so our next meeting would be the next night... when we meet with the Returning Officer...
Wednesday, April 6th
Came to Curtin early morning again...
just hung around with friends til 10.30am, which is my class.....
then after class... hung around cafeteria some more...
oh yeah... I should add this for my memory...
The other day, I had lent Brit my pendrive + mp3 player for overnight.. he told me he had wanted to copy some mp3 from my drive into his computer or something like that...
that morning, I got it back from him...
and after class... I got to check my files in my pendrive... and was surprised to find most of my files missing!!
Initially, I was all right, and figured that I had back-up back home... but still I wanted to talk to Brit about what happened...
but soon, I realised that I might not have backed up some of the files and was feeling more and more irate as the minutes passed...
Don't believe me, I'm sure some of my friends noticed what happened yesterday...
I can still remember myself punching and kicking the walls... I was feeling really really (dare I say it?) p*ssed...
not at Brit, mind you... I'm just irate that I had lost some of the files, possibly for good... including a lab report that I was supposed to pass to my groupmates.... (which I was sure I didn't back up.. which means I would have to re-do that whole thing...)
but then again... my mind was beginning to suspect Brit.. thinking that he might have misused my pendrive for his own needs... but I didn't think more than that, cause that would be unfair for me to judge him without hearing his side of the story...
which was why I was so impatient to meet him after that...
I did get to meet him later... and I got to know his side of the story.. and my suspicions were wrong, thankfully...
I don't know exactly know what happened... and I don't really care...
he was able to contact Karl, and confirmed that my missing files were still in Karl's computer...
sigh.... it was a relief.... but this Brit just couldn't stop apologizing.. hahaha...
he was so worried about my perception of him or something like that.. haha...
anyway.. that afternoon, I attended the other group's Chemistry tutorial... (that's why i earlier mentioned 'no worries about the tutorial'.. hehe..)
and then Engineering Maths.... and then just hung around cafeteria and did some of my homework.. namely the Maths homeworks....
had meeting at 7pm later with the rest of the CUSP members to meet with the Returning Officer...
6.30pm, Kimmy met up with me there.... we had a little chat... and soon we left for the place of the meeting...
Met up with Iqbal, who was invited to join the meeting as an observer...
All members of CUSP were present.. and got to confirm two more independant candidates running for Ordinary Committee Members (OCM)...
With no other parties running for the top five positions.. that left Benet, Voon, Yap, Kimmy & Barke in the Student Council board already.... by default...
however, the other ten members of CUSP, running for OCM, will have to go through the election cause of the two more candidates running for the same position...
Well... that's all I need to say on this matter..
I found the briefing on how the vote counts work complicating... but Benet later explained it more clearly later to everyone...
so far I see... I don't know if I'll be making it for the Student Council at the end of this election... but I guess... it's fine either way....
If I don't make it, I still have a few more years of chances and I'll have one year to prove my worth...
Lastly... I'll say this...
those of you currently studying at Curtin Sarawak Malaysia and reading this blog...
PLEASE VOTE FOR CUSP!!!!
hehe..
Anyway... after the meeting, some of us went to Lou Bin Tang for some dinner... including Abel..
After that, got to go to Curtin Village to meet with Brit to retrieve my missing files...
following that, got to meet up with Diana for a little...
and then headed back home.... hehe...
and that's all for now...
got to go back to my life and work... sigh...
I'll say this....
from yesterday.. I predict a few bad days for me.... I won't be too surprise if something bad just happens to me... sigh...
You are an assassin.
That means you are a proffessional and do your job without mixing any emotions in it.
In your life, you have probably been hurt many times and have gotten some mental scars.
This results in you being distant from people. Though many think that you are evil, you are not.
What you really are is a person, trying to forget your pain and past.
You are the person who never seems to care and that is why being an assassin fits you good.
At least, that's what people think.
Even if you don't care that much for your victims, you still have the ability to care and to generally feel. It is not lost, just a little forgotten.
In crowds you tend to not get to noticed, and dress in black or other discrete colours.
You don't like being in the spotlight and wish people would just leave you alone.
But once you do get close to someone you have a hard time letting go and get real down if you loose him/her.
Facial expression: Narrowed eyes
The two below are more like me... a mixture of the two anyway...
Samurai
You are a Samurai.
You are full of honour and value respect.
You are not really the stereotypical hero, but you do fight for good. Just in your own way.
For you, it is most certainly okay to kill an evil person, if it is for justice and peace.
You also don't believe in mourning all the time and think that once you've hit a bad stage in life you just have to get up again.
It's pointless to concentrate on emotional pain and better to just get on with everything.
You also are a down to earth type of person and think before you act.
Impulsive people may annoy you somewhat.
Main weapon: Sword
Quote: "Always do the right thing. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" - Mark Twain
Facial expression: Small smile
Protector
You are a protector.
Yes, you don't like to kill people. That goes against everything you belive in.
It's not that you are a coward, but your ideals and morals wouldn't allow it.
You are the typical hero, do the righteous things, get the bad guys and do it all legally.
But just because you don't kill doesn't mean you can't kick ass. And that is what you do.
You use your brain and your strength to do honourable deeds and protect people you know and love.
If an evil guy is going to take over the world soon, it's you who will get involved.
You hate watching innocents suffer, and love seeing bad people getting what they deserve.
You are probably also happy and optimistic and work pretty good in groups.
And the friends you usually make are true ones.
Main weapon: Anything at all
Facial expression: Smile
Part-Time Work as Waiter AVAILABLE!!!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Yesterday, got to go to that other place to work as a waiter for a few hours...
instead of Pujut Seafood Restaurant... it turned out to be the restaurant at Miri Golf Club.. the one at Piasau...
Got some new experiences from there... and boy... it is sure different from how it is done at Grand Palace Hotel...
The work here, in my opinion, is slightly harder than at Grand Palace... but there are less people to attend to, as they are mainly golfers...
Besides that, the people working there aren't very friendly... as in.. they don't talk with me... nearly at all, until I talked to them....
either they're not friendly, or just not good with new faces... unlike at Grand Palace, where they at least showed us as much as possible on what to do...
anyway... honestly, work here is a lot less than at Grand Palace... though it's gonna take time for me to get use to the work here... if I'm staying...
Food IS available here as well... BUT!! the food is terrible lah!!!!!
AND food is only available at the end of work, which yesterday was at 8.30pm... and guess what? they are leftovers of the buffet meal after the function is over...
and yeah, the food was already cold by then..... cheh... pathetic.... I'll give that to Grand Palace.. at least the food there is fresher and tastier... haha!
anyway... got my salary once work was done and we were about to go on home....
so here's something I wanna inform for all of you who are currently staying in Miri... whether Mirian or from elsewhere....
An offer to work and earn some pocket money!!!
Job: Part-time Waiter/Waitress
My week of movies!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Wah... wanna do this quickly.. before I go for work in a few hours later... (time now, 12.27pm)
Friday, April 1st 2005 (Happy belated April Fools' day, everyone!!)
Morning... came to Curtin for classes... initially, had thought there was two classes for today, but then turned out it wasn't my group's turn for Physics 062 tutorial... since last Friday was a public holiday....
anyway... so just spent my free time at the computer lab...
hahaha... Yu Yen and Marilyn just couldn't wait to play Quadra... hahaha!
anyway.... got my testimonial from Mr. Foad for the student council election coming up...
and then went for Chemistry Lab session... though a little late... hehe... Image hosted by Photobucket.com
anyway... after that, joined my Chemistry group to finish off the Chemistry lab report in the computer lab of the same block as the lab...
took quite a while.... but was done... and finally went down to get lunch....
got to join up with Iqbal, Nadia, Taufik (Tompoq), Krish, Derek & Hari... just when I was planning to get my lunch, they decided to go for a movie.... 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events' starring Jim Carey..
I had a little dilemma.. but finally decided to join them...
Once at Bintang Plaza, I went off to the food court upstairs for my lunch...
after that... waited for the movie and then... yeah.. the movie...
the movie is quite all right... but not suitable for young adults and above... more suitable for young teens and younger...
that's what I'll say for now....
after that, we headed for Desserts... been a while...
had some ice-cream... and then headed back...
had to come back to campus first with Iqbal to get to my car, which I drove today....
then immediately drove back home.....
Upon arriving home, my mother asked me if I wanna go out to Boulevard... why?
to buy another black formal attire for myself... with that said, I opted for it immediately... I definitely gonna need a second formal attire by the following week... for the Student Council Election's campaigning week... which is when I'm gonna be wearing formal black the whole week... haha...
got to the supermarket... went around, browsing... and eventually got one nice shirt... for less than RM50.. Woohoo!
and then got a silver necktie as well... yes! nice!
got home after some more shopping... then over for today!
by the way... today, the only April Fools joke played on me for the whole day was by Tompoq... and it wasn't much even.. haha!
Morning, printed some of the Physics and Chemistry lecture notes....
then watched some more Shaman King.... sigh.. enjoying the characters... really love them! especially the main hero! just love his romance with his fiance.. haha!
anyway... got to wear my new formal attire and had to leave for the temple to visit my father...
after that, headed straight to the Typhoon Studios, the one near Imperial.... to meet up with the other CUSP members... for a photo shoot of everyone in formal wear...
Benet, Voon, Ling, Dian, Kimmy, Snow Jae, Serena, Andrew, Bay, Pierre and others..
the photo shooting wasn't long.... three photo shots each....
can't wait to see how my photos turned out...
anyway... after that, was sent back by Voon and then just wasted time at home...
with my brother on the computer, I thought to watch the horror Thai movie, Shutter...
hehe.. the story procession throughout the movie is all right... but I especially like how the ending turned out... haha! really love it!
anyway.. after that, showered, dinner... online...
somewhere along the way, I stopped and went to watch 'Hide and Seek', starring Dakota Fanning & Robert DeNiro...
I just love Dakota Fanning.. she is such an amazing young actress..for such a young age...
and today... Sunday....
sigh.. so lazy to get up this morning... work later in the afternoon...
time to check out that restaurant... Pujut Seafood Restaurant....
and hopefully, it'll suit some of the criterias I'm hoping for... that way I can introduce it to Kimmy.. who once told me that she might be interested to work part time as well... but she had no transportation...
hope it'll turn out well....
Wish me luck!
Oh yeah... speaking of Shaman King.. I've been inspired by the main hero.. to smile all the time... hehe...
besides him, Snow Jae and a few other ladies at Curtin also keep commenting me and my... 'not-so-often' smiley face... haha..
so.. since Friday, i've been 'training' myself to smile at least, a little, at nearly all moments...
haha.. it ain't easy... but learning... haha....
