A Thank You Note

Conan & his allies
I would like to write a note of thank you to some of my teammates that I've got to work with in the last two events, the Curtin Camp 2005 and the Degree July-Intake Orientation Week 2005.

Iqbal - It was great to be able to work with someone that I am so comfortable with again. Sincere gratitude for being a supportive team member and an excellent trigger for laughter in just about any situation.

Roger - A well-organised person, though gets stressed easily. Try to be more cool mentally than just your voice, my bro! Nevertheless, an excellent person to work with and have in the team. Always knew to have him in the team ever since I knew he was coming to Curtin.

Guan Thai (GT) - Slow to catch up with the rest of the team's working progress. Can be hesitant to do something new. However, an excellent guy to work with since he just can never get angry or make you angry! Always smiling, calm, and easy going. Glad to have such a patient and hardworking person in the team.

Cheryl - Is probably like GT... Also slow with her working progress. However, I believe I barely seen her do public speaking. Then again, I've never seen her angry or has ever seen her make anyone angry. Always try to have fun with whatever she does. Hence, another great teammate!

Hiew - In the begining, this guy was so quiet and reserved to himself, but that was when he was still not comfortable with the rest of the team. Now that he is, he is totally outgoing and always a fun guy to have around. Always making humorous jokes and never a person that sets a negative mood in the atmosphere.

Kimberley - A supposed introvert, but has the capability to alter that around and be a very attractive person to have in the team. Though needs to learn to be more optimistic about herself, she is able to work well and enjoy doing them.

Melanie - Though she seems to feel not ready for the tasks given to her, she still works her best to fulfill them. A sturdy young lady with much capabilites and potentials. Glad to have her in the team.

Pamela - Now well familiarized with our working ethics, she is a bright young lady that is always enjoyable to have around. Glad to have her help and her in our team now.

Wisdom - A guy that no one can forget easily. Always energetic and bring life to the atmosphere. Very happy to have you in the team, Wizzy!

Genesis - An extremely loud and outspoken lady, honestly too much. I feel she is easily distracted and often going off the subject of discussion. However, put aside her different work ethics, she is a fun team member to have and is always looking for fun. New people easily open up to her. A teammate worthy enough to treasure.

Augustine - Another slow worker and also hesitant to do new things. However, he practises good and well-mannered work ethics. Works hard to achieve his best results. A delightful and highly potential teammate to have.

Kung Yao (KY) - A guy who is always speaking with much life in his voice. Indeed a fun guy to have as he jokes a lot and often. Like Augustine, with much more experience, he'd make for an excellent leader.

Anthony - Compared with the earlier two, I feel Anthony shows lower performance. However he does show his determination to improve himself. KY is more of a stiff dancer, but Anthony is one who can't help but dance off beat. Work on that. Cheers, buddy!

Aylwin - Amongst his peers, he brings a strong fatherly aura, as Abel mentioned. He doesn't show that aura amongst his own team, cause he feels his team needs not it, but instead gives his every support to help the team to proceed forward. An excellent team member to have.

Yii Yang (Ian) - A man of expressions. His face just tells it all, but mainly shows much fun and pleasure. No matter the situation, a smile of his face can lift up the atmosphere. Not a common person to find, thus, I am very glad to have him join in our work force.

Benet - Our ever respectful and hardworking Student Council President. Hands down to you on your dedication to your work and the results you achieve everytime. A very supportive leader and only uses his 'iron fist' when needed. Not to mention, a very sporting man with a good singing voice.

Last, but not least...

Abel - Our one and only mentor of all mentors, buddy of all buddies, brother of all brothers. I am honored to be able to work with him as always. I am always learning something new cause of his vast knowledge and capabilities. Hope to work with you again soon.

Final message to end this note...
My sincere apologies to all that I may have offended or did wrong to, whether deliberate or not.
All this time that I have been working, I hold no personal grudge or emotions to anyone of you.
It has been an excellent time working with all of you, and I pray that I will continue working with you all in the coming future!

End of the Degree O-Week

Kadaj sings??
hehe... days has been fine since my last blog!
Things are all right, although the next day after my last blog wasn't so great....
but things are looking up for me...

Degree Orientation Week is now officially over... so sad....
though things had been hectic and troublesome along the way...
the treasure hunt that I was given to take care of last Thursday, went terribly wrong...
but I got to learn now how I should do the treasure hunt so that it wouldn't be so confusing....
yesterday had been lotsa work for me..

very early in the morning... pass midnight.. I was still awake in front of the computer...
I had to update the slideshow of the past CV! activities...
I was waiting for Iqbal to burn the latest photos into CDs and send them to my house...
but as the hours progressed... I got to suspect that he has dozed off while burning...
uh-oh... how to work now.....
then Multiply & Blogspot popped in my head.... hehe! then got my photos from there...
done with the slideshow before 4am.... and then slept til 7am...
that day, had one presentation as a Student Council member... then I also had to continue being a SOAR Advisor... dancing and energizing the new students.... take care of the slideshows during Abel's and CV! presentations.... and then finally danced 'Hey Mama' with Joanna, Diana & Iqbal..
to think Iqbal and I improvised the steps for ourselves in a few hours the other night... the dance was originally only for the ladies.... so it was quite hard for us...

Anyway... the week concluded with much happiness....
Today was a beach party at Hawaii Beach... somewhere very far from Miri City...
left by bus... had lotsa games.... the O-Beach run, beach soccer, sandcastle building contest & tug-of-war!!
the tug-of-war was done at where the waves were splashing up the sands.... so... everyone and anyone that participated was definitely wet.... hehe!
after the tug-of-war... there was a match between the SOAR Advisors & Student Council...
hehe... what irony that I am of both parties.....
but since Student Council had less people, I chose to go to their side for this match...
The match started and the SOAR Advisors won with the pulling....
but with the help of some of the new students.. Student Council was the one that got to pull the SOAR Advisors down into the salty water!! haha!!
goes to show who the students support!!
or maybe they just wanted to see the SOAR Advisors get wet.. haha!!

After that match, I was definitely wet from top to bottom.... though still some percentage of dryness on my body....
barbecued food.... performance by the six orientation groups... an impromptu performance requested by the students from the Student Council... prize-giving... and then clean up....

after everything was done.. things slowed down everywhere....
got to shower and dress myself in dry clothes again...
then after leaving the place, Abel, Iqbal, Roger, Melanie, Ian, Kimberley, GT, Cheryl & I had lunch at Boulevard Food Court...
after that.... little trip to the arcade place.. and then headed home...

sigh.. next week will start my Degree semester.... and classes... X_X
two weeks later will be the Foundation O-Week.... heheh... can't wait for that!!

Bittersweet..... feels more bitter than sweet....

Hmm......
Sigh... it's been a busy time.... taking care of the Degree Orientation Week, that's been happening the last three days...

Things are going so nice and I'm enjoying myself a lot...
I enjoy working with the rest of the SOAR Advisor team....
Abel, Pamela, Melanie, Roger, Kimberley, Ky,
GT, Cheryl, Anthony, Augustine, Wisdom,
Hiew, Genesis, Ian, Aylwin...
and just today, Iqbal got to join the SOAR force....
Things are so fun when we get together...
we dance... we sing... we work together.... we laugh together....

All is great.... but I just got to mention it...
my time now is quite a bittersweet one..
this is just something, i guess... only I am currently facing.. in this team...

it just... hurts....................................... a lot...
I can even recall last night when everyone was practising a dance.. I purposely isolated myself...
using the reason to take photographs just so that I could just be..... left isolated from the crowd...
it hurts.....
just earlier tonight.. it hurt some more... despite all of the laughter....
guess what my research essay said was really right...

"...too much laughter gives an artificial feeling of joy. You can have a great time at a two-hour comedy show -- but experience an empty feeling afterward. That's because you got worked up high, but it wasn't real. And the reality always comes back."

and the reality just hurts.......................................................

Days of Preparation!!

Rave
Oh yeah... Been an enjoyable time since finishing the exams.. hehe!
Not much worries... especially about my studies!!

Yesterday evening, got to meet up with all the mentors of Curtin Camp 2005 (minus Iqbal) and four of the new people who wished to help with the Degree Orientation week next week... Augustine, Ky, Aylwin & Ian...
Abel briefed us on the things we should know when helping around with the Orientation Week..
such as the lecturers and the different schools... then peer counseling, and so much more...

after the meeting was done.... we went to Parkson for some dinner and then movie......
the four new guys said they couldn't join us... ohh....
and then Genesis & Wisdom said they couldn't either... sigh...
so there were me, Abel, Roger, Hiew, Kimberley, Pamela, Melanie, GT & Cheryl...
Got to enjoy some pizzas at Pizza Hut....
and then we accompanied Pammie to the Vinci store... haha.... where I had a little accident.. XP

Amityville Horror
anyway... movie!! Amityville Horror!!
I don't care what Kimberley, Hiew or whoever else says.. I feel the movie was quite enjoyable...
The storyline was nicely planned....character developements were beautifully portrayed.... Graphics were hideously good...
the scare factor is however not quite there...
it was more of showing scenes that people would find uncomfortable... such as a bloody gun wound on the head... a man wielding an axe... etc....
Horror fans would find nothing scary or new in this film... like Kimberley..

I ain't too much of a horror fan... and I myself admit that I easily get scared...
I try my best to stay brave..... but just some of the scenes freaks me out and frightens me...
Chills were constantly running up and down my arms and spine.... and goosebumps popped all over my skin in a few scenes...
And I even jumped at one particular scene... out of surprise... ehhehe.. Kimberley saw me jumped.. hahah!
I can still remember leaving the theater quite shaken.. still feeling the chills under my skin...
I do recommend you to watch this film... unless you're one of the strong Horror fans....

Anyway... after the movie.. Roger sent me home... and when got to my house, we got to talk alot in his car...
sigh.. what a nice, enjoyable conversation we had that night.... talked for almost two hours... haha!

Next morning.... woke up an hour later from the time that I wanted to wake up.... 7.15am...
showered... wash my clothes.... hung them... ate breakfast... then drove to Curtin... fetching Hiew & Benet along the way....
another meeting and training session with Abel to prepare for the first two days of the Orientation, Monday & Tuesday...
hehee.. can't wait for the week to come... wonder what's gonna happen...

After the morning session of some more briefing... we had a break at the cafeteria... some hot drinks to battle the cold weather....
and then we continued with some dance practises for the new members of our SOAR Advisors team...
Abel is trying to re-introduce this team to Orientation.... as they were out of action for one semester....
Anyway, the new members were Augustine, Ky, Anthony, Aylwin & Ian...
hehe... they've got to familiarise themselves with the 'Lean On Me' song.... though they still need to work on their attitudes in dancing... or as I prefer to say it... 'personalizing' their dancing...
but not too worry, I'm sure they'll be fine soon enough...
and even if they aren't... they will still be all right!! =D

After that was done.. did some more plannings....
Abel appointed Roger & Melanie to be the leader and assistant leader of the SOAR Advisors team.. *Applause*
not to brag or anything, but I can be certain that some people would wonder why Roger and not me....
as Abel mentioned..... Roger is a very organised person and plus it's like training for the two of them to lead... not that the others aren't as good to lead.. [They'll eventually get their turns... ;p]
and besides that, I am also a member of the Student Council and I'll have other things to take care of myself.... I am already the main lias-on for Orientation anyway!
plus, I've enough experience to spare.... it's good to have someone have the chance at such experiences...

After the plannings were done, most of us headed on home or wherever they needed to be.... Me, Roger, Hiew & Kimberley went to eat lunch at DPS......
after a comfortable lunch, we tiredly headed back to campus, where we spent some time outside the Student Services...
there, I explained to them about how to conduct the campus tour....
and after that, we had much of a photo taking session, using Hiew's ever so new and expensive HP... hahah!
very nice pictures had been produced out of that afetrnoon alone... but too bad it's mostly of the four of us! hahaha!!

now.. Hiew & I were like thinking about starting a online group.. to post up these photos and stuffs...
I just might start that some day soon....

anyway.. forgotten that Abel wanted to knwo of some of the plannings that we did on our own after he had to leave for a meeting...
so we went to meet him at his work place...
hehee... there, we did do our work... but also spent much leisure time... listening to loads and loads of songs... transfering and exchangin them...
and only hours later did we actually finsih what we were supposed to be doing....

Hiew had long left us then, and Abel, Kimberley, Roger & I went to have our dinner at Lou Bin Tang... at about 9pm just now? or was it earlier?
anyway... before, while & after eating, we got to talk alot... hehe.... we sure do a lot of talking, huh?
it was a nice conversation... and a comfortable time...

Sigh... my eyes are actually burning.... must be the lack of sleep.... or the fact that I've been sleeping VERY early in the morning for the past few weeks....
hehee... but I feel I'm gonna be enjoying myself a lot more at this part of my life now...
hehehe!

Exams over..and soon... The Reunion!

Chibi Sephiroth
WOOOOHHHOOOOO!!!!!!

Exams are over!! Everyone's fine and dandy!! Everyone's celebrating! Everyone's cheering 'Merdeka!'!
Sigh.... my last test paper was this morning... Physics....
let me tell you the story of my preparation for this particular test... from last night til this early morning...

I thought to relieve myself of tension and stress before going to study Physics... so I went online, do my stuffs, and also played Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on the computer...
hahah! Ended up playing for so long til near midnight..
then thought to try to study.... but then... was caught up with a few friends online... who 'thought to be somewhat chatty at the moment'...
heheeh... that Stephanie Ting.... troublesome lah that girl... hahha!
kept teasing me... haha!
I felt kind of hyper cause of her.. and thought I just could not study at that time.... so went off at about 2am...

My gosh.... as I went up to prepare to sleep... I noticed I wasn't walking straight... my balance was off... my head was feeling giddy and dizzy....
hahah!! Once I placed my head on the soft pillow, my head just went topsy-turby!!
hehehe.. makes for a comfortable sleep though! I practically fainted myself to sleep!

Woke up almost one hour later than I had wished too.... near 7am...
had my shower... skipped breakfast.. and rushed to campus..... boy.. cause of the rain... everyone just seemed to drive so annoyingly slow.. AhhH!!
once reached school.... went to wait outside my examination venue... G2 101...
read through my past test papers and some tutorial notes.... was done about ten minutes before we entered the venue...
no point stressing myself to cramp all the information into my head.... I learned when this week of exam....
thankfully there's multiple-choice questions.... those were a breeze... hehee! since most of them came out from the earlier test papers...

I came out after an hour... I've checked to see if I can 'steal' some marks with anything... and I decided that I've done what I possibly could at the moment.....
heheh! Yay!! Exam was over for me!!!
Quote from Benet who met me outside.... "Finished exams? You can just see the glow on your face!"
hahha! Indeed!!

Anyway.. tonight.... a meeting with Abel and the people helping with the Degree O-Week, which is next week....
All mentors of Curtin Camp 2005, except Iqbal, who is still not confirmed, are in on this one!!
Wooohoo!! Me, Roger, Wisdom, Hiew, GT, Cheryl, Kimberley, Pamela, Melanie, & Genesis!! Woohoo!!
Time for a reunion, baby!! The Reunion

Safety Awareness for Women (Canny Ong's Case)

Happened in 2004 in Malaysia, just a news to many and forgotten now........got to see the pictures then you see the impact.....

******taken from email********

On Friday night, 13th June, my beautiful cousin Canny Ong was
abducted and our family were in so much anguish waiting for news of her
disappearance.

4 days later, a charred body was found at a building site, about 3
miles away from where the car (my aunt's) in which she was abducted in was found.

She was raped, tortured, stabbed, strangled, and her body set ablaze. All this because the murderer saw her at a restaurant, and found her
very pretty, and slim and "fit"?

The men are now caught and will face the death penalty. As a woman, i think there are many so many sick bastards out there. We cannot take things for granted. Please don't go anywhere alone. Canny only left her mum and friends at the Autopay machine to go to the car to get the ticket when 3 men grabbed her and pushed her into the car and drove off.

She's gone now; there is nothing I can do to get her back. I will never get over it.

SAFETY TIPS IN THE LIGHT OF CANNY ONG'S MURDER

Please take the time to read this.
I know you are smart enough to know these pointers but there will be some,
where you will go "hmm I must remember that"

After reading, forward it to someone you care about, never hurts to
be careful in this crazy world we live in.

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body.
If you are close enough to use it, do!

2. If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
BUT TOSS IT AWAY FROM YOU...
Chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse
than you and he will go for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car:
Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy.
The driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc.)
DON'T DO THIS!
The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:
a. Be aware: look around you; look into your car,
at the passenger side floor, and in the back seat.
b. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the
passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
c. Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the passenger side.
If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs.
(Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).

7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times;
and even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT!
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well-educated man,
who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked "for help" into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

I'd like you to forward this to all the women you know. It may save
a life.

A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle.
I was going to send this to the ladies only, but guys, if you love
your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc., you may want to pass it
onto them as well.

Ladies, Be extra careful when you're alone in deserted carparks!
Take a look at the 5th pix.... u'll never forgive what the idiot did
to her!

LIFE IS PRECIOUS, take care & beware of strangers.

Kindly forward this to your loved ones & remember to be on the guard
when you're out there.
Always have at least a friend to accompany you to the car park.

BE ON GUARD!

Her charred body bagged [WARNING]
A close look of her completely charred body [WARNING]
The Culprit Caught, thankfully
May Canny Ong rest in peace

Mood Analysis Test

Got to try out a mood analysis test... which uses colors..
appears to seem accurate.. though not sure...

------------------------

You have always been on the move seeking affectionate, satisfying and harmonious relationships. Your ultimate goal has been the realization of an intimate union in which there could be love, self-sacrifice and mutual trust. It has often been said that 'True love is just around the corner' and - if you haven't found it as yet - you possibly soon will.

Your situation is such that at this time it is essential that you resolve your inherent problems immediately. You are not listening nor taking heed from your many friends and advisers, all of which believe it or not, 'wish you well'. Most of your colleagues feel that your attitude is out of context - an attitude of recklessness and desperation. It is imperative that some solution be found, but whatever you do, think before you act.

You feel that you should be appreciated far more than you are but no-one seems to care! You feel that you are receiving less than your share and the main problem is that there is no-one to whom you can turn to for sympathy and understanding. The inner stress that you are experiencing makes you quick to take offence but you realize that at this particular moment in time there is little that you can do to relieve the situation.

You are holding back. You need to find friends in whom you can trust and once they have proved themselves beyond all possible doubt you will be prepared to give them your all. The existing situation is not of your liking - you have an unsatisfied need for mental stimulation with others whose standards are as high as your own. Trying to control your instincts the way you do restricts your ability to open up to others and the way you feel at this time is suggestive of 'total surrender'. This is not to your liking as you consider such thoughts as weaknesses that need to be overcome. You feel that only by control, controlling your innermost thoughts, are you able to maintain your air of superiority. You want to be admired for yourself alone and not for what you can do or for what you may have done. In essence 'you need to be needed' and at the same time 'you need to need'.

You would like to be respected and valued for yourself and this can only be achieved from within a close and harmonious relationship.

Laughter, is it truly the best medicine?

The Clown Prince of Crime
Hey there everyone!!
I'm finally gonna be posting up my research essay on laughter....
And I'm having the proud and always jovial Crown Prince of Crime, Joker to bring some guidance along the way as you read my essay!
hehehe....

ABSTRACT

There has been a medicine that humans used over and over and practically throughout their daily lives ever since they learned to communicate.
That medicine is called laughter.
However, unlike the actual medicine that is consumed at particular amounts to reassure its positive effects, laughter can be taken repeatedly without worry, so long as it is honest, true and received gladly by others.
However, there come some sceptics who challenge the thought.
Is laughter truly the best medicine?
This research essay will work to verify how laughter is capable of bringing a more joyful and even healthier life to humans.
The secondary research is done to provide this essay with the needed information from the Internet, newspapers, journals, and even a movie.
Despite a few opinions from the devil’s advocate, I can bravely assure that everyone agrees that laughter is the best medicine as it helps relief tension, increases our body’s health and develops our way of thinking for the better.

Joker: Shall we begin?
INTRODUCTION

Tons of work to do, running short of time, I needed to rush to get them all done quickly. I was definitely not in a cheery mood. Instead, I was feeling so agitated that I could bite a head off. Even my close friends would run from me if they saw me coming their way. Suddenly, a clown appeared beside me. He started playing around, trying to entertain me. I had no time for this! Tried as I might to escape from him, the clown persisted to try and make me laugh. I walked away as fast as I could, the clown following me from behind. I felt so much like screaming at him to stop following me. I turned around ready to do so but instead, I was screaming in laughter when I turned around only to witness the clown accidentally tripping over his abnormally large shoes and falling clumsily flat on his face. Seeing me laughing, the uninjured clown left me. Strangely, after I stopped laughing, I felt very much better. I was not frustrated or irritable anymore. Instead, I felt like I could do anything and all of my current work was nothing to fuss about.

This is no joke.

Laughter does indeed have such effect on a person, no matter how negatively he or she is feeling at the time. However, not many people realise this and go on with their stressful lives, suppressed by depression and distress. They do not realise that with a little laughter in-between, they would be helping themselves a lot.
Laughter, in this case, would be like a medicine that could be taken in any occasion, anytime and anywhere, hence the old saying, ‘laughter is the best medicine’.

But is laughter truly the best?

Some would disagree, claiming that it is not necessarily helpful. They also believe that it can cause harm to us humans instead.
I, on the other hand, strongly believe in the saying.
This essay will explain how laughter is capable of relieving stress, improving one’s physical health and also developing one’s state of mind.

Joker: Things are just starting to get hot!
BACKGROUND

Laughter can be believe to been known ever since humans learned to communicate with one another.
Most of the time, laughter comes out of a certain something in us humans, known as humour.
Humour is a kind of special distinct feature that humans have that does not take into account individual differences, such as culture, religion, sex, and race, as stated by LaFollette & Shanks (1993, p. 329).
In his study, “The Biology of Humor”, a professor of psychiatry and behavioural sciences from Stanford University, William Fry believed that humour was just something humans picked up after a progression of a lifetime’s worth of learning experiences and that all humans held the potential of developing their sense of humour (Cited in Hatten 2003).
Fry believes, since every one of us has different experiences throughout our lives, our sense of humour is different from one another and unique to each individual. Hence would be a good reason why no two people ever agree on an exact definition of humour, despite everyone knowing what humour is, as claimed by Hughes (2003, p. 308).
However, laughter doesn’t necessary only come from human’s sense of humour, as agreed by LaFollette and Shanks (1993, p. 329).
[Joker: Who needs a sense of humour, when you've got me?]
They said that “people may laugh because they are uncomfortable (nervous laughter), they may laugh at someone (derisive laughter), they may laugh because they are insane or mentally imbalanced (hysterical laughter), or they may laugh because they are physiologically induced to do so (as when someone tickles them relentlessly)” (ibid).

For instance, have you ever wondered why villains of many stories are often laughing? [Joker: Like me? I feel honored...... Kidding.]
It is pointed out by theorists, such as Hobbes that laughter, or in this case, the villains’ humour is used to display superiority over others (Cited in LaFollette & Shanks 1993, p. 329).
This goes to show that laughter comes in variable forms.

Joker: Oh, what the heck, I'll laugh anyway!! WAHAHAHAHA!!
COUNTER ARGUMENT

Laughter may be well-known to have its positive effects but some people believe it is a two-edged sword, as mentioned by Weinberg (2000).
He mentioned that “the tool of laughter” is capable of bringing along danger and destruction when abused. [Joker: Abuse!? My word! I can't imagine the audacity!]
One particular type of laughter can actually terribly hurt another person he claims; ridicule.
It is only natural that when one feels ridiculed, he or she would be hurt.
In this case, laughter actually does harm instead of bring good to someone.
Since the hurt is more emotional than physical, it is much harder to heal the damage done indeed, as no physical remedy can help heal the ‘wound’.
In addition, Weinberg (2000) says:

Laughing for laughter's sake is just an escape. Jokes alone don't equal happiness, and too much laughter gives an artificial feeling of joy. You can have a great time at a two-hour comedy show -- but experience an empty feeling afterward. That's because you got worked up high, but it wasn't real. And the reality always comes back.
Silliness, too, is often a sign of running from the realities of life. Life is serious business, and frivolity destroys meaning. That's why excessive laughter and misplaced levity can lead to immoral behavior.

Furthermore, laughter is like the opposite of seriousness and hence will work to minus the sense of solemnity, which would explain why some people would think that laughter is not necessarily helpful.
This would be a bad thing when it comes to genuinely serious matters or situations, such as ethnicity, world crisis or stopping war. [Joker: Who cares about crisis?! I want results!*Carries bazooka*]
Weinberg (2000) says that laughter is like a mighty weapon and when something or even someone is laughed at, no matter who or what it is, it is ruined.
Plus, he suggested that it is just rude and discourteous to make fun of such serious subjects.

Joker: Ready for the bang?
TRANSITION PARAGRAPH

The negative edge of this sword is undeniable.
Laughter can leave people feeling hurt instead, and may not be appropriate for certain serious matters. As mentioned before, there are various ways of producing laughter, both good and bad.
However, the bad side of laughter often, if not completely occurs when it is misused or abused.
Thus, with the right moral behaviours and proper attitudes, this edge of the sword can be avoided, which is why I continue to support that laughter is indeed the best medicine for it can reduce stress, develop physical health and also improve mentality.

Joker: Care for a hug?
PRO ARGUMENT 1

Laughter is an excellent way of releasing stress and tension that have accumulated inside one’s self from his or her daily life and work.
Stress and tension may form within ourselves from a variety of sources, such as pressure from work, problems within family or circle of friends, financial issues, world issues, and even personal matters.
With so many sources, imagine how much stress is already within you!
Stress can bring bad effects to one physically. Crystal and Flanagan (1995), both doctors, claimed that stress’s ability to subdue our body immune system has been proven by research on it.
Besides that, stress can leave people distressed, irritated, and even depressed, depending on how one reacts to a certain situation.
The author of ‘Pathfinders’, Gail Sheehy believed that the tension of an event can be easily dispersed if taken under a more humorous perspective, since “humor releases mounting tension, popping the cork off fear, hostility, rage and anger” (Cited in Hatten 2003).
Weinberg (2000) also agrees, stating that tension is unconsciously relieved through laughter and that it clears up all forms of tension, like anxiety, despair, and annoyance.
Moreover, he claimed that even faking a laugh can still make you feel relaxed and raise your spirits.

Take this example, have you ever got into an intense argument, or at least, witness one where suddenly the one arguing starts laughing about it? [Joker: Yea! Me!!]
When someone realises something as absurd in an argument that and starts laughing, his or her laughter would “dispel” the heat of the argument as it has taken the pressure off everyone (Weinberg 2000).

Joker: It ain't my fault she can't take a joke!
PRO ARGUMENT 2

If exercise and workouts help develop our muscles, is there any way to develop the rest of our organs?
One known method is a healthy diet, but there is another method, not well-known, but is practised everywhere by everyone and at anytime.
In an article in The Borneo Post (30 May 2005, p. C6), patients claimed that they are able to laugh longer when their asthma is under control, but if the laughter causes the asthma symptoms, it shows their asthma is not yet under control.
This means laughter is acting as a sign to how controlled a patient’s asthma is.
In the same article, Clinical Professor of Medicine at NYU Medical Center at New York, Dr Stuart Garay encourages asthma patients to laugh.
Besides that, laughter has many positive effects to our body’s health.
Sowell (1996) said:

Studies have shown the following physiological effects of laughter in the immune system alone: increase in the number and actually of T cells and natural killer cells, which attack viruses, foreign cells and cancer cells; increase in gamma interferon, a blood chemical that transmit messages in the nervous system and stimulates the immune system: a rise in immunoglobulin A, an antibody that fights upper respiratory tract infections (stress, particularly depression, has shown to lower Ig A levels); and more immunoglobulin G and M, which help fight other infections.

As proof to how laughter is good to the health, you should look into the life story of Norman Cousins.
A patient with ankylosing spondylitis, an illness believed to be fatal, would be a good example since Cousins was the reason for the scientific study on the medicinal properties of humour when he was able to sleep painlessly for two hours after only ten minutes of laughter (Hughes 2003 and Sowell 1996).
Furthermore, laughter is able to create energy.
An article in The Star Online (8 June 2005) included an explanation by Dr Marciej Buchowski of Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee that the basic metabolism rate raises over 20% when laughing, according to an experiment they did.

Joker: *Singing* Raindrops are falling on my head!
PRO ARGUMENT 3

Humans have many ways of impacting one another’s life.
It is undeniable. These impacts vary from good to bad.
Laughter would be good, as it helps develop the mentality for the better.
According to an article in The Borneo Post (18 April 2005, p. C5), humour has been proven to raise people’s level of hope.
This would be a useful tool, especially in hospitals, which is why clowns often make visits to the hospitals.
Hughes (2003) claims that the practise of humour during treatment is supported by a number of 98% of behavioural therapists, plus, Hughes also mentioned that laughter can build a strong relationship between patient and professionals, namely doctors, and that such relationships are important.
This is emphasized by Hunter ‘Patch’ Adams (Patch Adams 1997) who said:

A doctor’s mission should be not just to prevent death, but also to improve the quality of life. That’s why, you treat a disease, you win, you lose. You treat a person, I guarantee you, you’ll win no matter what the outcome.

Despite laughter and humour diminishing solemnity and hospitals being a place of serious matters, which could involve life and death, it does not mean hospitals should not mix with laughter or humour.

Life does not cease to be funny when people die anymore that it ceases to be serious when people laugh” said George Bernard Shaw (Cited in Hughes 2003).

Laughter brings optimism into the minds of anyone in any serious situation.
For example, a family of a woman losing the functions of her legs had their hope raised and had better connection with the patient after they practised humour amongst themselves as encouraged by Norman Cousins (Cited in Sowell 1996).

Joker: Lamies and gentle-yokes!! Woops! Should've saved that for the start!
CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH

In this essay, I strongly support that laughter is truly the best medicine.
Laughter easily helps us to release all, or at least, most of the stress and tension stored consciously and unconsciously within us.
Laughing develops and improves our physical health even with small doses.
Laughter also brings about a more hopeful atmosphere despite during a solemn situation.
I suggest that all this knowledge be spread to the general population and that laughter should always be encouraged amongst one another, especially the younger generation, while reminding them that laughing does not give them the right to be irresponsible. [Joker: Irresponsible!? *Fake gasp*]
I believe that everyone will benefit from this and can lead a happier, better, and less stressful life.
Just think, even if we were faking a laugh, our bodies still react to the laugh as if it was for real (Crystal & Flanagan 1995)!
So start making it a routine to laugh daily, at least ten minutes worth of laughter.
Besides, you would not just be brightening up your own day, but also everyone else’s.
Many have embraced the power of laughter and led happier lives, so what have you got to lose? [Joker: Like me!!]

Wow! Been so busy and away for so loong!

Blank of FFIX - Live Free
Wow! I've been gone for a long time.... but I'm living my life gladly!!
In the last few days, I've been going on with my life with much fun despite lots of work!
Don't care about backstabbers.. no worries about people not liking me... I never cared about them, unless they are close friends of mine...
So many has happened since my last blog....
but I'm just gonna talk about three special events...

First is the Team-Building workshop we had, I think on July 2nd, a Saturday...
the participants were newly selected prefects of SMK Dato Permaisuri... I think... forgotten which school it was...
Abel asked members of CV to help out... led by our respectful Darryl How...
others to join are Ling, Roger, Guan Thai (GT), Xiao Huan, me & Kimmy...
just the other night... we had a meeting to discuss on the things that we had to do during teh workshop... which mainly was a little sketch that we needed to do to show 'Inco-operation in a team' and then anotehr 'Co-operation in a team'...
It was a fun day.. we came early in the morning, about one hour before the workshopw as to begin..
and we recapped the steps of the Jungle Song while teaching GT, Xiao Huan, Roger & Ling.... I can still remember that GT, Xiao Huan & Roger only needed two rounds of practising to get the basic steps of the dance! easy huh?

the students were a great bunch.... and boy, was I surprised by their enthusiasm...
They appeared very satisfied with the workshop.... and that doesn't surprise me cause the first two hours or so consisted of a motivation talk by our lecturer Shamsul the 'Little Dinosaur'...
besides that, we only showed them the Jungle Song twice.. and when we finished the workshop, we played the song one more time and practically EVERYONE was up and dancing the song... haha!
What got me by surprise was when suddenly one of them shook hands with me and the rest of us... and then he was followed by the rest of the students to shake our hands.. haha!

Ultimate Magician
Another event I wanna DEFINITELY talk about is the Curtin Camp 2005!!
Woohoo! I finally fulfilled one of my goals ever since joining Curtin!! After joining the Curtin Summer Camp in 2003 and then joining Curtin the year after... I had always wanted to be a mentor for the next camp of theirs... and now I have done it!!!
This is why I'm so happy!

Tuesday, July 5th... Abel had a meeting with all the selected mentors for the camp... who were Iqbal, me, Roger, GT, Xiao Huan (now called Cheryl), Hiew, Kimberley, Wisdom, Oscar, Genesis, Pamela & Melanie...
He briefed us on the things to expect during the camp, what we gonna be diong, etc...
we had a bit of training in terms of public speaking and dancing the Jungle Song & Lean On Me....
The next night, we also had a meeting.... and some more practises... that was also when Oscar pulled out at the last minute, cause he wanted to focus on his assignments and studies... Good luck dude!
and on Thursday night, it was our final meeting and practise before the camp starts on Friday...
that night, we were told of what to do and prepare for tomorrow.... etc...

Day 1 of the camp... Friday, July 8th...
arrived campus early, cause I was supposed to have a discussion with my Chemistry group on our presentation that would be on the next morning... nevermind that...
later in hte morning, met up with the other mentors and Abel.... got dressed up and we had lunch all together....
after that, we then went to prepare the registration area at the LT Foyer...
The students came around the time scheduled... and we went on with the program as scheduled...
the students' first session of the camp already included a talk by Sham, our 'Little Dinosaur'.. so it ain't a wonder how they already got themselves in the camping mood.. ahha!
Had a little trouble with the showering plan in the evening... but we proceeded with the rest of the night quite all right...
haha... that night, after all the sessions were over and all the participants were discussing their works,etc... most of us mentors were just entertaining ourselves and everyone esle by dancing so much.. ahhaha!
when all the campers were gone to their camp, we mentors had a rounder session with Abel....
discussed on our own group and how are the students in our group.... my group was the Monkeys... and they were an all right bunch...
then we discussed on the next days' event.... mainly the telematch that Roger is in-charged of...
you can clearly see the worry on his face on how it was gonna turn out tomorrow...
after that, we then went off to rest and shower, etc...
GT & Cheryl decided to go home and sleep.... while Pamela & Kimberley went home cause they couldn't stay overnight away from home... too bad....
After showering, I had to go and meet up with my Chemistry group regarding my part of the presentation for tomorrow...
I did a bit of my slides and my lines quickly and was finally done in an hour or so...
Genesis, Melanie, Hiew & Wisdom slept at the hostel while Abel, Roger, Iqbal & I slept in the VIP lounge at the first floor of the Admin & Library building.. near the Council room, where we usually had our big meetings before...

Day 2 of the camp, Saturday, July 9th...
haha! I can still remember I only got to sleep for about two hours... lesser than Iqbal, Abel & Roger... and still the first to wake up...
I was even the one to force the other three to wake up!! hahaa! leaving my phone to keep ringing.... and then finally turning on the lights, whcih would mean that definitely time to get on up now! it was 5.30am when I turn on the lights...
Showered with COLD water... definitely wakes anyone up after that shower.... and got dressed...
the others from the hostel came and turned out Melanie didn't get to sleep that morning.. haha!

Anyway... morning exercise with the campers.... who definitely ddin't get enough sleep as we had told them to before...
then breakfast... and the next sessions.... I can still remember one of the speakers, a lecturer named Bai Yien.. she was really good and practically held everyone's attention....
before tea break at 10.30am... Hiew & I left for our Chemistry presentation....
we were done by noon and I went straight back with the campers... who were heading for lunch...
hahah! then found out that most of everyone had fallen asleep in the LT during the session.. and poor Roger got caught by Abel sleeping! haha!
thank goodness I had a good few minutes sleep near the end of the presentation by the last group earlier.. heheh!
so I felt quite all right! =D

After the next two one-hour sessions, the lady mentors took the groups to their separated places... while the boys went to prepare for the telematch at the field near the camp site...
we were done soon enough, but due to not paying attention to the clock, some of us, including myself, were late to come to the telematch by a few minutes.... XP
and because of that and the slackiness of the participants.. I supposed some of us got stressed out.. especially Abel I see... though not so much that he forgot to have fun...
haha.. Roger definitely looked stressedwhen everything just seemed to not go accordingly...
but I hope everyone had fun.. had a little trouble with the Tug-of-War / Tarik Tali.... but we finally had a fair game and had a winner, fair-and-nearly-square... Congrads, the Kangaroo group... hahah!
Afer the telematch, we had plenty of water balloons to spare.. and we didn't want to wet the campers.. so we decided to just have our own fun! haha!
Throwing balloons at each other... and splashing water at one another! haha!
Oh yeha.. I forgot to mention someone who came to help us out that day... Genesis's friend.. Jordan? I don't recall his name.. but heard that he was very interested to help us out with the camp.... however, he couldn't be accepted as a mentor now....
Though, he did help us a lot nonetheless that day... Thanks dude!

This time, shower time, we let the students head to the showers on their own, since they knew where to go....
so now we mentors had time to shower ourselves!! (yesterday we didn't showered til late night!!)
prepared for the barbecue and the concert that night....
we got dressed, themed, white top and jeans....
We all changed our hair look....the boys waxed their hair, the girls either tied, braided, let loose, etc their hair....
We then joined the campers at the LT Foyer.. where the barbecue was held...
we had lots of fun that night.... though I could barely have a nice dinner.. T_T
I volunteered to be stage manager to manage the CDs, etc of the groups...
and for that, could not just sit down and have a comfortable meal... hahha!
but I still had fun!! ahahha!

That night, Abel had three of the campers to be the MCs of the night.... Jillian, Rachel & Clinton....
the concert was all right.. with lots of laughs and amazing talents discovered... ahha! and even a Curtin Camp Idol 2005 realised! Haha!
at the end of the night, we had a Clubbing session.. hahah! can't believe that...
nearly everyone was dancing at the LT foyer...
after we had the campers return to camp..... we mentors had another rounder session with Abel...
we discussed on the events of tomorrow, the final day... and then we discussed on who shall be the Mr. & Ms. Curtin Camp 2005.... and the following subsidiary winners...
We decided that Slyvester & Rachel as the winners.. Congrads, you two!!

Again tonight, GT, Cheryl, Kimberley & Pamela went home to sleep in their nice warm showers... and comfortable beds... while the rest of us got to sleep together at the VIP Lounge...
that night, I had to do some extra works... to prepare for the Treasure Hunt the next day, which is under me...
I wrote down the clues... and had them photocopied...
Hiew stayed up with me to help me out... thank you!
then only got to sleep at near 4am....

Day 3 of the camp, Sunday, July 10th....
Woke up one-and-a-half-hour of sleep later... and again, I was the one to force everyone up... haha!
Had my cold shower once more and got dress for the day...
Quickly had to work to placed the clues at their places....
Had much trouble with that... and I was feeling really stressed out... sigh.....
but finally set the clues at the rightful places and we proceeded with the Treasure Hunt!
After the hunt, they showered and breakfast... and then to the LT for the next session..
included in the next session, was a sharing platform.. where the participants are invited to the front to tell everyone of their experience in the last two days.... haha! great comments..... sigh...

then a break.... and then we had the groups to present their assignments, given since the first day...
lots of great ideas were presented and plenty of weird gadgets and inventions were made.... out of cardboards, straws, that is.....
then lunch break..... we mentors calculated the points gathered by each group and finally we had a winner.... the Elephant group...
the next session was by the Student Recruitment team... to tell the campers about Curtin and what courses, scholarships, facilities it offer, etc...
And then a Q & A session with the lecturers that were involved with the camp the last two days....
History was made when Sham sang for the first time ever in front of everyone!!! ahaha! though only a few lines.. hehe!

And then, we proceeded with distributing the certificates to all the campers, the camp facilitators (lecturers, Student Recruitment team, IT department, & Abel), to us mentors.... and then we announced our subsidiary winners and Mr. & Ms. Curtin Camp 2005...
haha! great fun...
after all that, we had a short flash show of the last two days of the camp... Memory Lane... done by the IT department...
I feel very much what was shown.... and I ain't the only one...
one reason was... just when the feeling was just about to come out... then the show was done already... supported by Iqbal...
another reason... it wasn't much at all!! I dare say I could do better.... but just that I couldn't get the photos and didn't have the time....
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Damn it!!! I want to reverse back time and do that memory lane thing!!!!!
but no matter.... what's done is done...

Then the Curtin Camp is over..... we proceeded out of the LT to the foyer and had lots of an autographing session... haha! and also some more dancing!
then all the participants slowly go home and soon teh campus was quiet once more...
had shower and we packed up our stuffs at the VIP lounge.. ready to go...
it wasn't over for some of us though... Roger & I had decided join and help Kimberley with her Jive dance performance for the Cultural Night two days later...
So that night, we went to eat dinner, together with Wani, at DPS...
Actually, all four of us are from the same Primary School... Sekolah Rendah Sri Mawar...
So we had a lot to catch up with.... it was nice dinner...
after that, returned to campus to practise the Jive performance.... together with Jimmy who was also dancing for the performance...
When he and Wani gone off... Kim, Roger & I got to plan what we could do for our performance...
we planned to have Roger & Kim dance first, and then I 'steal' Kim from him... before he trips me and gets her back....
we then end the dance with a gentle tug-of-war between me & Roger over Kim before she falls on the floor... the two guys then laughed at her and then left together..... as good friends...
hahaha! just for comedy relief... hhehe!
then headed home to rest..

Justice League & their many allies
Man... I don't know how I woke up and turned off the alarm without realising it.. cause when I woke up.. it was near noon!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I onyl woke up cause Kim's message rang on my phone...
she asked me & Roger to join her for a meeting with the rest of the dancers....
showered.... ate lunch.. and then off I went to meet up with them at the cafeteria...
Roger didn't come.... til later in the afternoon....
a little while of meeting with the dancers, I had to go for Research & Writing Skills 062...
yay! I could finally finish my research essay, which was about laughter I mentioned long ago...
definitely will post it some time soon... a good read, I'll say it proudly!!
call me a show-off if you want! but I AM proud of that essay and I have every right to be!!!!

After I was done in the class, I coincidentally meet up with Roger & Kim...
we then go to the ME lab to finish up my essay and Roger helped me print them for free.. woohoo!!!
but then the convinience store was closed, so I couldn't get it bind, so I couldn't submit the essay that day too.. sigh...
anyway.... spent a little time online... and finally got to checked my e-mail after three days.... and was I shocked to find.. 35 new e-mails & 11 new junk mails!!!
man... that's the most I've ever seen!
but then again.. most of them were announcements of new Friendster blogs and blog entries.. so nevermind....
and then the junk mails were just...... junks.....
only some of mails were important and with meaning to me...
then off Roger & I went to the LT for the rehearsal of the Cultural Night that was to happen the next evening...
When dancing... all three of us, Roger, Kim & I made mistakes.. hahah!!
and boy, did everyone had a good laugh from our little skit.. haha!
I so love to direct sketches.. and I sure can do much better for some of the other sketches that were rehearsed that night.....
I just so wanted to do something about them... but nevermind...

Anyway... after that rehearsal... lots of preparations and practises on the side...
before Abel, Kim, Roger, Melanie, Hiew, Wisdom, Pamela, Genesis & I went to eat at Lou Bin Tang....
turned out that it was Hiew's birthday that day, so we had a little celebration there... and man.. Abel ordered beer for each and every one of us to drink... Tiger beer to be exact...
sigh..... every one drank the beer.... even Pamela although only some of it...
I was more reluctant.... I don't like beer.. don't like the taste....
but then, everyone was urging me to.. and I gave in... saying the drink was for all of the mentors and Abel... and of course, for Hiew and his Birthday.....
man... that's the first tiem I ever drank a WHOLE can of beer... any beer... man..... no wonder people could feel like puking... my stomach felt so filled up... never knew that beer fills up the stomach...
definitely helpful if I ever write something regarding drinking beer... hehe!

after that, we all went back to LT, except Genesis...
Kimberley, Melanie, Wisdom, Pamela & Hiew had been chosen to be the MCs for the Cultural Night....
So that night, Abel had them prepare their scripts and what they should talk about for tomorrow...
they practised for the whole night til 12.30am!!

next day, came to school for the Physics class in the morning...
then, Abel called a meeting with all the mentors....
we were given our evaluation forms done by the campers... on our performances.... haha.... some funny comments made.. hehe!
also discussed on the clothing for the MCs....
and then, decided to go to the salon of Abel's friend to make up the ladies and change our hairstyles.....
man.. my hair was on ends!!!! if only I could post up the picture!! haha! maybe another time! ;p

anyway.... returned to school, just in time for the Cultural Night....
it was a fun time..... I even played the role of one of the Wise Men in teh Christmas sketch.. hahaha!
the Wise Man with the spiked up hair.. hahaha!
anyway... the dance went quite well... I believe we didn't do any mistakes as we danced... which was great.... though it felt really short.. haha! two minutes and ten seconds or so...

Oh yeha.. forgot to mentioned... the night before, we got to contact some of the Curtin campers and invited them to come and join us for the Cultural night.. and over twenty I believe, came...
and we even had one of them, the famous pianist that performed and stunned everyone during the concert, especially Abel... to come and performed for us during the night... Dennis Lau...
after the Cultural Night was over, it just remained the mentors and the campers... we took photos after photos...
Dennis was there playing on the keyboard together with Abel at his side.. singing...
lots of fun... hehe....

Wow... this has been a VERY VERY VERY long blog... but with much memories that will not leave me for a long while....

Stupid, narrow-minded backstabbers.....

Where Vengeance Begins
Man.... been a while since me last update.. one week ago...
feeling kind of bad and upset and all that negative emotion right now...

If you leave your mouse on the picture of Batman long enough.. you'll get the description 'Where Vengeance Begins'...
It's just a description for the Caped Crusader's moment in the picture, and plus it was named that...
So don't worry.. I'm not out for blood or anyone....
well... not for this case anyway... haha.................................................................... or any case honestly..

(WARNING: Content may include mild foul languages)

Was on a MSN chat with someone.. and we got into the topic of gossips...
and boy, did I get to know more than I thought I would...
but I honestly thank that person for telling me about it....
It may not be new information for me.... but those are valuable news to me...

Turns out.. people are talking bad things about me behind my back...
Normally, I would ignore these gossips, since most of them come from people who I am not familiar with and are not close to me....
and I believe.. if they're not close friends with me... they don't know me well enough to judge me...
0% qualification to judge me... what they say are not trustworthy...
PLUS... they backstabbed me... how can you trust somebody who backstabs you?

however this time..... the people backstabbing me are revealed to be my classmates...

which would explain the isolation throughout my class times....
I don't know who.. I was not told of who they were or who he/she was..
and I basically don't care...
Curious... but don't give a shit...
it's better that I don't know anyway...
What hurts me the most is that I trusted my classmates very much and took them as my good friends before...

guess I don't fit in with them...

I don't know of what they've been talking about me behind my back all this while...
but seems that the main thing is that they're saying that I am arrogant and a show-off....
One example given was during the dance practises....
I do not know of which practises and I wouldn't remember those practises anyway...
Turned out that during the practise, while I was (probably) teaching the boys the dance steps or doing something... the classmate of mine mentioned something about me being a show-off...

well.... I just HAVE to say my defense...
I was doing what I had to do....
No one else was teaching the boys the dance steps...
Barely anyone was coming up with dance steps for the boys....
and if its about me dancing the girl's steps and just dancing on my own sometimes.. those are just for fun.... and at the same time, memorizing steps... so next time, if people ask about the girl's step.. then I would know!

sheesh.... I am such an easily misunderstood boy.... no wonder I like to be detailed with my words....

I admit.. maybe my actions seem like I am an obvious show-off....
but trust me... it is never intended to intimidate anyone or even intended to BE presented in that way....

I don't like show-offs and arrogant people myself....
But it is just how I do things....
And besides.. I recall this quote from my Primary Six class teacher... which i believe I mentioned before in an older blog entry...

"If you're good at something, what's wrong with showing it off?"

And hey! it's true enough... how do you think those celebrities got so famous, huh?
was it just by coincidence that they did absolutely nothing and then got noticed to have an excellent singing voice or excellent acting talent or excellent future in modeling....?
I highly.. no.. ABSOLUTELY doubt it!!

BRING IT ON!!

What I am doing now may or may not be my talent.... or something that I am good at...
but it IS something I feel I can do well....
and if what I am doing now is not good or right for you.... then dare to speak up....
I won't hate you.... I only hate narrow-minded bastards and bitches....
I welcome all insults and complaints about my actions with open arms.....
And that's the thing... people are SO good at backstabbing, that the person they backstabbed doesn't realise it....
No one dares to speak up about it? Then how or even why should I change for them, huh?
Yeah, go on and hate me or something.....

I don't exist in this world to please everyone....

ONLY THOSE WORTH IT...

Excellent way of telling bad news..

Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus
You want a funny joke?
Here's one to tickle your funny bone!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At dawn the telephone rings...
"Hello, Master Carlos? This is Arnaldo your country house caretaker"
"Ah yes, Mr. Arnaldo. What can I do for you? Is there a problem?"
"Um, I am just calling to advise you, sir, that your parrot died"
"My parrot? Dead? The one that won the competition?"
"That's the one."
"Darn! That's such a pity! I spent a small fortune on that bird.
Oh well...
what did he die from?"
"From eating rotten meat."
"Rotten meat? Who was so mean as to give him meat?"
"Nobody. He ate the meat of one of the dead horses."
"Dead horse? What dead horse Mr. Arnaldo?"
"Why, those pure breed ones that you had, sir.
They died from all that
work pulling the water cart."
"Are you insane? What water cart?"
"The one we used to put out the fire."
! "Good Lord! What fire are you talking about, man?"
"The one at your house! A candle fell and then the curtain caught
on f
ire."
"What the...!!! But there's electricity at the house!!!!
What was the candle for???"
"For the funeral."
"WHAT BLOODY FUNERAL???!!!!!"
"Your mother's! She showed up one night out of the blue and I thought
she was a thief, so I shot her."
