I would like to thank those of you who expressed condolences on the recent passing of my mother. She suffered a hemorrhagic stroke while she was driving home from my house on 9/30 and passed away on 10/3. My mother's stroke and passing was an enormous shock to my family because she did not have any symptoms or risk factors for a stroke. Just the week before she had gone to her doctor for a check up and received a clean bill of health. She did, however, develop a cold while she was visiting me and had taken Alka Seltzer Cold Plus for 3 days. Since her passing, we have learned that Alka Seltzer is one of the many cold medicines that contains Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) which can cause hemorrhagic stokes or cerebral bleeding even with the first use. I am forwarding a list of other medications that currently use PPA. These medicines are supossedly being recalled but my mother just purchased this medication less than two weeks ago. Pharmaceutical companies have known about this danger for years, we unfortunately, did not.

I urge you to review the list of medicines with PPA and avoid these medications.

Anyway... Valentine's Day is over... And in my last blog entry.. I forgot to add this insert into my Valentine's Day greeting.

Wish to just hold on always..

I just had a thought...
A thought about the idea of holding hands... Holding hands as in between a pair of lovers (straight, homo or bi, but I'll mainly be talking about straight couples, k?)...



Ever thought about why a couple are often seen holding hands with one another? Or for that matter, close to one another in some ways; like holding the other's waist, or leaning one's head on the other's shoulder or head?
Well, you'll obviously say that's cause they're in love and wanna be close with his/her partner..
And you'll most probably be right.

When in love, a couple will always stay/remain close to each other. They just have to be within the personal space of the other.
I think of this behaviour in this way; an urge, a desire, a wanting, a need to be one with the other.
Let's just imagine that there exists an aura surrounding every human, each individually different from everyone else. Now let's have an examplary couple surrounded with their separate individual auras.
They'd definitely have this urge/desire to enter each other's aura, to get into one another's aura, even if just a little.
One way to satisfy that urge/desire is by holding each other's hand. Arms twisted around each other's, hands clamped closely together and their fingers crisscrossing in-between each other's in a lock grip.
This action, in a way, displays to the couple themselves and to everyone else a symbolism of unison between the two. That, the two people have a bond with one another, hence why I say, a desire to be one with the other.



It is like the old Chinese symbol of complete balance. The Yin-Yang symbol (Picture above).
This symbol depicts a complete balance and a strong bond between two opposites.
YIN is the black, Dark, a symbol of calmness and collectiveness, while YANG is the white, Light, a symbol of outgoingness and aggressiveness.
If you noticed, there's a dot of white in the mass of black and a dot of black in the mass of white in this symbol.
In my opinion, this displays an exchange of two separate matters to achieve a One-ness.
This is what I'm trying to get at with this post.
This is what I mean when I said 'a desire to be one with the other'.
And this is why I used the idea of individual auras in my example earlier.
Entering into one another's aura, they are like, unconsciously trying to exchange a bit of aura to and from each other. And in this manner, connect to each other deeper than mere physical presence and closeness.



Let me tell you my experience when it comes to holding hands with the opposite gender.
I've ever been held by the hand by a girl before. It gave me this very strange chill throughout my body, but I liked it a lot, honestly. Perhaps it was just a sense of intimacy that I never gotten before, I don't know.
Anyway, there's a distinct difference between holding your own two hands together compared to holding hands with someone else.
You just can't replicate that feeling of holding someone else's (that signifant someone's) hand by holding your own hands together, no matter how hard you forced your mind to imagine that feeling.

Well... I was just thinking to myself about it when I noticed this behaviour amongst many couples, if not all.
And well.... just thought to post it up. Hehe!

A loving couple... which the boy is a fireman.
One day, there was an emergency. A terrible forest fire had started somewhere, and the boy is called by his mates.
Seeing him off, the girl went back inside their home and turned on the television to a news channel that was broadcasting the situation of the fire.
Watching the news, she can't help but feel worried about him.

Meanwhile, the firemen are fighting the blazing fire. Unfortunately, the fire was too strong and they had to retreat. All of a sudden, a burst of fire knocked out one of the men.
Seeing his fellow mate down, the boy earlier went to rescue him. He tried to signal for the others, but the helicopter they got on was already taking off, leaving him and the KOed mate behind.
Probably realising it was useless to call for them against the roaring sound of the helicopter, he tries to find some way to bring the knocked out guy and himself to safety, when suddenly a burning tree comes crashing down on them.

Hearing the news that the firemen had to retreat and possibly the news that some men were left behind, the girl can't help but start crying her eyes out in front of the television.
That night, the same vehicle that came to retrieve the boy came to compound of her home.
She came down from her house to greet the fellow firemen, and possibly hear the news of her guy.
However, the firemen were all smiles as suddenly behind them appeared another figure.
The girl couldn't help but be overjoyed at the sight of her boyfriend and rushed over to hug him.
He accepted her hug gladly while swinging her round and round; their lips locked tightly with one another.
