Wish YOU A Joyous Merry Christmas!!

Hehehe! Sephiroth of Final Fantasy VII greeting all of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Well, updating on my day of Christmas... which was yesterday!

OK... Morning...
Woke up after 10am... and 11am I needed to be ready to go already! For a luncheon at Dynasty Hotel....
So... have my shower... and then just waited for the time before my mother, my brother and me left with my mother's sister..
Boy... were we surprised when we reached the Chinese restaurant to find no one else except the waiters and waiteresses...
So we just waited at our table for everyone else to come down from whatever function that was happening upstairs...
This luncheon was most probably invited by my mother's other sister, cause this was more of a church's sort of event... not being racial or anything....
Later... more people got to join us... when I returned from the washroom... I got to noticed some people coming down from upstairs with musical instrument.. the most obvious one being a keyboard...
I didn't recognise anyone in the crowd.... but it turned out that I found out that one of my close friends in high school (secondary school) had been in the band that performed at that function!! Adrian Teo!!
Anyway... didn't see him yesterday.. and got to find out about it today through Friendster.. Hahaha!
Ok.. the food served during the luncheon were bad... they barely looked interesting...
First a kind of soup (which was too spicy for me..), the white rice... then a plate of mixed vegetables... then a dish of fried chicken (which didn't look good but tasted nice... only one that was enjoyable to eat...), some taohu or beancurd with vegetables and fried fish meat... a steamed Sultan fish (is it??)... and then fruits... that was all...
Immediately left after that... nothing more to do...

During the luncheon... Abel had invited me to go to his open house... with my mother... a little trouble as we didn't know what time the luncheon was going to be over...
but it was over at 1.30pm... got home at 2.... so my mother say we can go at 2.30...
so just rest up for now.... then when the time was nigh, I drove with my mother to Abel's house....

Got there... was surprised to see that he was having quite some visitors...
got greeted by Abel and his parents.. It then turned out it was Abel's mother that invited my mother to come...
sat down... had something to eat.. the bamboo chicken and some umai... which I heard from Abel that it was not spicy.. made especially for those with 'sensitive' tongues....
anyway... some more guests turned up and after spending half an hour there.. me and my mother went back...

Well... last night I had planned already a movie outing with Adrian Foo, Azie and some of her cousins...
Got home from Abel's.. after a while of shopping at Ng Sian Hap.... it was 4pm and after, approximately...
with time... I played Silent Hill 3 on the PS2....
Hahaah! Had forgotten the time when my mother reminded me that I was going out at 6!! and it was ALREADY 5.30!! hahha!
immediately went for shower... have a quick dinner.... and luckily still have some time to spare while waiting for Adrian to come and pick me...
which he did 15 mnutes later.... and as we head for Bintang Plaza (Parkson)... Azie SMSed me, telling me that she and the others are already at KFC and asking where I was..
Well.. no need for me to explain again cause I just told you guys I was heading to Bintang Plaza with Adrian.. right? Just reminded you that anyway.. so whatever! Hehe!

Hahaha! Gave Azie a little fright when I appeared behind her.. Haha!
As quickly as we got to meet them... me and Ad had to go to buy the movie tickets...
Bought the tickets.. after a little trouble... (boy.. so crowded....) then Azie & her two cousins, Tania & Jason joined the two of us there....
Had some more trouble with the money exchanging.. but was settled quickly enough...
then just waited for the cinema to open.... Star 1... I was so hoping that the sound system wouldn't be as bad as before.... (Ocean Twelve incident...)
Anyway... after spending quite some time talking, etc outside Star 1... eventually the cinema doors were opened for us movie viewers and so we entered... the first amongst the crowd to enter even.. hhehe!
Boy... everyone, including us, waited at our seats for SO LONG before even the advertisements came on...
something must've went wrong up at the projector or something....
after about half an hour later.. then the advertisements came on.. before the movie started.... KUNG FU HUSTLE....

OK.. Time for a review...
hahah! My first comment... 'The first Chinese film that I see with SO MUCH computer graphics used on the actors and actresses within its reality setting.... watch the movie and maybe you'll understand what I'm talking about...
but honestly.. this movie is.. haha.. REALLY HILARIOUS!!
Not every moment in the movie is laughter and jokes.. but it sure was at the beginning half an hour or so of it!
Hahaha! And the introduction to the movie... the introduction to a particular mafia-like gang in the movie was.. haha.. kind of.. strangely, awkwardly funny! hahaha! You'll understand what I mean when you watch the start of the movie...
anyway... this movie is VERY ENJOYABLE to watch... gives you some very good laughs!
and for me.. the characters in the movie can really give you a wrong image of them... like say... a sissy person may turn out a lot tougher than appears.... "Never judge a book by its cover!"
OK.. besides the jokes and laughters.. I REALLY love the fighting! VERY COOL! plus with the computer graphics to help make out the fighting scenes!
Though the effects of the people's fighting were VERY OVER-EXAGGERATED, the movements and motions of the fighters were for real... being one who learned some of Wushu, I can tell...
the fighters' movement and body postures were for real and really COOL looking!!
For me, it was really a pity that three REALLY GOOD fighters in the start of the movie didn't get to continue further in the movie... They were just.. SO COOL!!
anyway... this movie doesn't have much focus on romance.. but it still has that... a romance that took over a decade in the making... within the movie I meant...
Hahhaa! The ending was a real laugh! Hahaah! The movie included this lesson as well.. "Never so easily trust an unshavened stranger with long, uncut, shaggy, dirty hair who is terribly, raggedly, dirtily dressed." hehehe!
Watch this movie.. It's DEFINITELY one you DO NOT wanna miss....

OK... movie over... it's only after 9pm... so the five of us went window shopping around the complex...
soon, Azie got a call... It turned out that her mother, Tania's mother & Jason's mother were at Cheerie Berries (CB)...
So... Azie and her cousins decided to meet with them there... but without a ride.. we turned to Adrian...
Good thing, he was generous enough to help out...
Nearing 10pm, we left in Ad's car to CB... Ad couldn't join us so he just dropped us there...

We met up with the three mothers in front of CB... and sat at a table near them...
The four of us then had quite a long conversation.. having some drinks and a chicken pizza during the conversation...
Some time after 10.30pm... my mother called for me to come back home....
luckily for me.. it so happened that the three mothers were planning to go as well! Hahah! What coincidence and what luck I must say... heard that they usually stay there for a longer time... hehe!
Got a ride from Jason's mother.. I think... Everyone else squeezed at the back...
Hehehe! They didn't know where my house was.. and I had mentioned the Blue pub...
they thought I meant to drop me at the pub cause I had a meeting with some friends there! Ahahah!
Well.. they came to my house.... I asked them to wait for a while as I went in and returned with a Christmas gift for Azie.. had forgotten to bring it with me when left with Ad earlier....
Then... buh-byes and goodnights... went in and had my sleep...

Well... It's the morning after Christmas Day....
